Empowerly is a fast-growing EdTech company on a mission to empower students to become the most successful version of themselves. Our platform combines expert college counseling with proprietary tools like the Empowerly Score™, giving families a comprehensive, 360° view of a student’s college readiness across academics, essays, and extracurricular development.
We have raised $30 million from leading investors including Goodwater Capital, Conductive Ventures, FJ Labs, Scrum Ventures, Translink Capital, Azure Capital Partners, and Spero Ventures.
Empowerly is a founder-led company that initially scaled through SEO-driven performance marketing. We are now expanding into a diversified go-to-market strategy across Sales, Events, B2C, Partnerships, and Business Development. As we pursue 150–200%+ revenue growth in the next phase, content will play a central role in fueling organic acquisition, strengthening authority, and accelerating conversion.
We operate as a remote-first company and build teams of individuals who excel in distributed environments, take ownership, and care deeply about making high-quality college counseling accessible to students from all backgrounds.
ABOUT THE ROLE
You will own Empowerly’s written content engine across blogs, landing pages, and high-intent conversion pages. You will be accountable for transforming organic traffic into clarity, trust, and measurable enrollment impact.
This role is built for someone who genuinely enjoys writing at volume, refining existing work, and turning strong drafts into high-performing growth assets. You understand that content success is not measured by word count alone. It is measured by search visibility, engagement depth, time on page, lead capture, conversion rate, and long-term authority within the education space.
You will execute against a defined content roadmap, prioritizing assets that show demand, traffic, or conversion opportunity. This includes:
> Producing net-new blog posts based on SEO briefs and search demand
> Rewriting and materially improving existing content for clarity, depth, structure, and persuasive strength
> Optimizing high-value pages that directly influence bookings and enrollments
You will consistently ship polished work at a reliable cadence, balancing speed with quality.
SEO awareness is central to this role. You will integrate primary and secondary keywords strategically, align content to clear search intent, structure headers appropriately, and provide internal linking recommendations. While you will not own technical SEO or publishing, you will collaborate closely with the SEO Manager to monitor performance, refresh content, and continuously improve outcomes.
You will also strengthen website and landing page copy across webinar pages, program descriptions, and other high-intent assets. You will refine headlines, calls to action, page flow, and narrative clarity to improve engagement and conversion. As positioning evolves, you will proactively refresh outdated content to maintain authority and consistency.
Selective promotional and campaign copy will fall within your scope. You will support paid media and webinar initiatives by writing persuasive, intent-aligned copy for ads and promotional assets. You will iterate quickly alongside paid and design teams to improve performance through structured testing and feedback.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, remote, results-oriented environment. You enjoy improving existing work as much as creating new work. You are energized by building scalable content systems that consistently attract qualified families and help students make confident, life-shaping decisions.
