Key Responsibilities:
Partners with departments to ensure that all request for proposals (RFP), due diligence questionnaires, period questionnaires, agendas for on-site meetings and forums, etc. incorporate requirements of all involved parties.
Provides guidance and assists NFG leadership to ensure responses to all RFPs, questionnaires and other data requests are communicated throughout the NFG organization as appropriate.
Serves as the primary relationship manager for sub-advisers regarding their relationship with NFG and its expectations and requirements.
Participates in New Fund Task Force/ad hoc groups and be accountable for ensuring that all tasks relative to the implementation of a sub-adviser to a new or existing fund are communicated and completed.
Manages the performance and analysis of data gathered from sub-advisers to ensure appropriate coordination of issues with internal committees and communication of final resolution.
Serves as the relationship liaison between the sub-adviser, Nationwide Marketing and Nationwide’s sales team in the coordination of events and marketing materials
Manages the preparation of reports for the Nationwide Mutual Funds (NMF) and Nationwide Variable Insurance Trust (NVIT) Board of Trustees and NFG executives and committees. Drafts and authorizes written correspondence between NFG and the sub-advisers.
May performs other responsibilities as assigned.
Reporting Relationships: Reports to the Senior Consultant, Staff Administration and may lead others.
Typical Skills and Experiences:
Education: Undergraduate studies preferred.
Experience: Minimum of eight years in the financial services industry, with five years’ experience with oversight activities regarding mutual funds and some supervisory experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Ability: Mutual fund products/trading, RFP process, fund board governance, code of ethics, proxy voting policies, affiliated transactions, soft dollar usage, portfolio compliance, operational oversight of sub-advisers and internal compliance programs. Excellent verbal and written communications skills. Strong organizational, follow-up and problem-solving skills. Ability to employ critical and analytical thought. Detail orientation. Good people leadership and project management skills. Able to work independently.
Other criteria, including leadership skills, competencies and experiences may take precedence.
Staffing exceptions to the above must be approved by the Vice President and HR Vice President.
