ERM is seeking an experienced Senior Consultant, Scientist, Project Manager to support our power sector clients in Northern California. This is your opportunity to drive permitting activities for utility vegetation management projects, ensuring seamless coordination between environmental, operational, and client teams.

As a Project Manager, you will serve as a key liaison with our client, driving alignment on program objectives and ensuring timely, high-quality deliverables. You will leverage your expertise in permitting and planning to navigate regional requirements and facilitate efficient project execution.
What You'll Bring
Required
Bachelor’s degree or higher in environmental science, engineering, project management, or a related field. Or equivalent experience.
3+ years of experience in permitting, planning, or environmental project management.
At least 2 years managing vegetation management projects and multi-disciplinary initiatives.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Excellent communication and client engagement skills, with the ability to adapt to evolving strategies in a fast-paced consulting environment.
Proficiency in project management tools (MS Project, Smartsheet), GIS platforms, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Demonstrated ability to lead projects and collaborate across disciplines.
Proven track record of delivering results under tight deadlines.
Preferred
PMP or equivalent certification.
Familiarity with vegetation management programs and regulatory frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
Drive Permitting Success: Lead all permitting efforts for vegetation management, including preparing and performing QA/QC on encroachment permit packages.
Collaborate Across Disciplines: Partner with multidisciplinary teams to resolve constraints and ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements.
Own Project Delivery: Manage scope, schedule, budget, and quality for complex environmental projects, keeping everything on track and aligned with client goals.
Lead Strategic Planning: Facilitate planning sessions, coordinate cross-functional teams, and maintain documentation to meet municipal and environmental regulations.
Integrate Field Insights: Communicate data collection needs and seamlessly incorporate findings into project workflows.
Optimize Processes: Identify opportunities to streamline operations and boost program efficiency, helping clients achieve annual performance targets.
Keep Stakeholders Informed: Maintain clear, accurate documentation and provide proactive updates throughout the project lifecycle.

For the Senior Consultant, Scientist, Project Manager position, the anticipated annual base pay is $74,825–$96,901 (USD). Actual pay will depend on factors such as education, experience, skills, location, performance, and business needs. In some cases, pay may fall outside this range. This role may be eligible for bonus pay (casual and fixed term/flex force employees are not bonus eligible).
We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including paid time off, parental leave, medical, dental, vision, life, disability, AD&D insurance, 401(k) or RRSP/DPSP, and other applicable benefits to eligible employees.
