What you’ll be doing

The Senior Consultant, AML will be responsible for supporting the governance and oversight of CIBC’s AML regulatory reporting processes. The Senior Consultant will work closely with Enterprise AML (EAML) teams and business partners within CIBC to provide guidance on the requirements, controls, management reporting, applications and processes to ensure the completeness and accuracy of Data in the reporting of large cash transactions, suspicious transactions and electronic funds transfers to FINTRAC. The Senior Consultant will leverage and analyze data to assess the effectiveness of the regulatory reporting to FINTRAC. With a focus on data analytics and trend identification, the incumbent will identify AML/ATF risk exposures and develop and work with key stakeholders to implement risk mitigation initiatives, to support CIBC’s EAML program and effectiveness reviews.

How you’ll succeed

· Understanding and documenting requirements - Facilitate elicitation sessions with Business teams and Technology partners in order to identify and document Business Requirements aligned to the Project scope, Business objectives and benefits. Utilize standard Business Analysis methodologies to create Business Requirements artifacts and facilitate signoffs from stakeholders and sponsors

· Proficient in data analysis - you are skilled in tools such as Microsoft Excel, Tableau, Databricks, SQL and Python. You can develop, automate, and visualize metrics, extract insights, interpret complex information, and communicate findings effectively to stakeholders.

· Strategic Initiatives – support the development of AML requirements and business cases, while coordinating resources across teams. Support the recommendations to improve processes, controls, and systems in support of organization initiatives

· Effective communication - articulate recommendation and build clear and concise presentations to help management make strategic and operational decisions.

· Stakeholder Management - foster strong relationships with management across strategic business units. Ensure broad awareness of regulatory changes and their impacts on frameworks, policies, and processes.

Who you are

· You have a degree in one or more of the following: computer science, finance, mathematics, applied mathematics, statistics, economics, and/or econometrics, physics or engineering.

· You can demonstrate experience and knowledge in AML regulations and practices and related regulatory compliance including regulatory reporting to FINTRAC.
