About the Department

This role forms part of the Compliance Advisory Team of Aberdeen Investments Luxembourg, reporting directly into the Head of Compliance.

About the Role

The position will support the Conducting Officer responsible for the Compliance function in ensuring the fulfilment of regulatory obligations related to the UCITS Management Company and AIFM activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide guidance and support to the business on  all regulatory matters relevant to the IFM and its managed UCITS/AIFs.
  • Provide Compliance support and challenge throughout the product lifecycle, including fund launches, significant changes, mergers, liquidations and prospectus updates.
  • Compliance review of marketing materials, presentations, PRIIPs KIDs and website content to ensure compliance with applicable requirements
  • Review and analyse new or evolving regulatory developments at both EU and Luxembourg levels.
  • Participate in business discussions on ESG related topics (e.g. for new fund launches or repositioning) and provide Compliance guidance and support.

About the Candidate

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

  • Demonstrable experience of working in a compliance role within the Financial Services sector.
  • Practical experience with ESG related topics, disclosures and queries.
  • Ability to manage constructive relationships with various stakeholders.
  • Exposure to providing guidance to first line teams.
  • Strong skills working with governance and regulations.
