Brown Brothers Harriman is currently recruiting Senior Compensation Analyst to join our HR Compensation team.

The Senior Compensation Analyst is an experienced individual contributor who brings strong analytical capability and sound judgment. This role supports firm-wide compensation programs and partners with internal stakeholders to inform compensation decisions. This role contributes to the ongoing enhancement of compensation processes, analytics, and reporting.

Key responsibilities include:  

  • Support and own components of core compensation processes, including year-end compensation, promotional programs, and related reporting
  • Lead market benchmarking and survey submissions; analyze external data to inform pay decisions
  • Analyze compensation data to identify trends and develop insights that inform decision-making
  • Prepare materials and deliver insights for senior stakeholders, including executive audiences
  • Partner with HR Business Partners to advise on compensation decisions (e.g., offers, promotions, pay positioning)
  • Ensure accuracy and integrity of compensation data across systems and reporting
  • Contribute to compensation-related projects and process improvements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience required
  • 3-5+ years of experience in compensation required, with the financial services industry preferred
  • Advanced knowledge and application of Excel, including customizing charts and graphs, conducting multi-sheet analysis, linking data across workbooks, and using advanced formulas (e.g., VLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, SUMIF, MROUND).
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Experience actively participating in compensation year end salary and bonus cycles
  • Familiarity with HR Systems (Workday and PeopleFluent preferred)
  • CCP or other HR certification a plus

This role is based in our New York City location and is a hybrid role, with a minimum of three days per week in office.

   

Salary Range

$80k-$110k base salary + annual bonus

BBH and its affiliates' compensation program includes base salary, discretionary bonuses, and profit-sharing. The anticipated base salary range(s) shown above are only for the indicated location(s) and may differ in other locations due to cost of living and labor considerations. Base salaries may vary based on factors such as skill, experience and qualification for the role.
