As a Senior Compensation Advisor, you will play a key role in consulting with stakeholders, leading high-impact projects, and supporting recognition and compensation initiatives that influence our total rewards philosophy and help us attract and retain top talent. Our team leverages advanced expertise in Workday to create analytical reports, test and implement program enhancements, and configure and deliver the annual merit and incentive payout cycle, ensuring efficient and accurate compensation processes.
Advise business leaders and HR partners by delivering actionable compensation consulting, enabling informed talent and pay decisions.
Lead and manage significant compensation projects that improve pay programs, processes, or policies, driving measurable business results.
Support and enhance employee recognition programs, contributing to a culture of engagement and performance.
Strengthen our compensation programs by ensuring timely and accurate compensation planning, market data analysis, and survey submissions, helping maintain Freddie Mac’s competitive position in the market.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
5–7 years of compensation experience
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple demanding projects
Proficiency in compensation administration using HR information systems (e.g., Workday)
CCP (Certified Compensation Professional) or commitment to pursuing certification preferred
Strong project management skills, with the ability to organize, prioritize, and deliver multiple initiatives simultaneously
Curiosity and initiative to explore new technologies—including AI—to improve compensation processes and decision-making
Analytical mindset and attention to detail, ensuring high-quality and accurate work
Collaborative approach, building effective partnerships across HR, business units, and cross-functional teams
Excellent communication and presentation skills, able to translate data and insights into actionable recommendations
Adaptability and resourcefulness in a fast-paced, evolving environment
Commitment to continuous learning and growth within the compensation field

This position has an annualized market-based salary range of $102,000 - $154,000 and is eligible to participate in the annual incentive program. The final salary offered will generally fall within this range and is dependent on various factors including but not limited to the responsibilities of the position, experience, skill set, internal pay equity and other relevant qualifications of the applicant.
