The Role
The Senior Communications Associate plays a key role in managing media relationships, executing PR campaigns, and ensuring consistent, positive brand representation across media channels. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
How You'll Help Take Us There
- Media Relations: Create compelling content for press releases, blogs, and social media. Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to inform PR strategies. Initiate, assess and respond to media inquiries as needed.
- Employee storytelling: Help identify employees and build content to support internal/external initiatives promoting business wins, employer brand and our strong corporate culture.
- Vendor Management: Act as point of contact with PR agencies and/or creative agencies. Ensure MarketAxess voice is consistent across all mediums and social media channels.
- Marketing Collaboration: Ensure all external communications align with company messaging and brand standards. Collaborate with marketing team to integrate PR strategies into broader campaigns.
What We’re Looking for
- 4+ years’ experience, marketing, PR, and/or corporate communications within financial services preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Economics, Business or Communications, preferred
- A sound understanding of financial services; exposure to fixed income preferred
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects across business lines, collaborate, and thrive in an entrepreneurial environment
- Passionate about company culture and delivering a great employee experience
- Creative problem solving and process management skills
- Strong copywriting skills, grasp of grammar, and attention to detail
- Digital and web content management experience preferred, design experience welcomed
- Prior knowledge of Salesforce marketing software a plus

For job positions in NYC, NY, and other locations where required, the estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is $110,000 USD to $140,000 USD. Actual salary may vary depending on job-related factors, which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. You may also be eligible for annual cash incentives, equity, and other benefit programs.
