About the role:

Aligned with our Commodity Insights sales transformational vision of a customer-centric organization, the Commercial Specialist for Agriculture plays a pivotal role in translating our services into tailored solutions to meet our customers' key objectives. This involves blending market knowledge with a diagnostic selling approach to identify workflow requirements and position our best-in-class solutions.

The integration of capabilities from our legacy organizations, has demonstrated significant potential, delivering double-digit growth for our Agriculture business. With substantial investments, we are strategically focusing on this high-growth area providing a comprehensive range of solutions for our customers.

The ideal candidate will exhibit a deep commitment to understanding how the Commodity Insights Agriculture portfolio can enhance client workflows and empower critical decision-making. This entails leveraging an extensive suite of world-class data, market intelligence, proprietary industry datasets, forecasts, and the expertise of a distinguished team of experts.

The successful candidate will embody an enterprise mindset, fostering collaboration across integrated value chains to deliver comprehensive, strategic solutions that create measurable impact for clients and drive revenue across the Commodity Insights vertical.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and drive achievement of regional net sales and retention targets

  • Strategically manage a complex portfolio while ensuring an advanced, forward-looking growth pipeline.

  • Foster executive-level client relationships, develop comprehensive engagement strategies, and act as the primary liaison between senior stakeholders and internal teams.

  • Leverage expertise in global agricultural markets to lead discovery sessions, guide product positioning and market entry strategies.

  • Deliver impactful product demonstrations that align advanced solutions with client workflows, driving adoption and long-term value.

  • Collaborate effectively and build strong relationships with cross-functional commercial teams.

  • Oversee and ensure accurate documentation of key client engagements and high-value sales activities in Salesforce at a strategic level.

  • Lead onsite client engagements, spearhead strategic initiatives, and serve as a snr representative of the Commodity Insights brand at industry conferences (minimum 30% travel).

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint for reporting and analysis. Good understanding of AI concepts including Co-Pilot

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.

  • Minimum 5-10 years of relevant experience with a proven track record in Agricultural or related commodities markets.

  • Background in Commodity Agricultural or Solution Enterprise selling with an understanding of client workflows.

  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written). Proven presentation skills, both in one-on-one settings and in larger group settings

  • Strong collaboration and influencing skills, with a genuine team-player mindset.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

  • Technical proficiency in using sales tools, CRM systems (such as Salesforce), and other relevant technologies.
