About the role
Senior Commercial Advisor
At AGL, you’ll work in a team that collaborates with commercial and industrial customers, helping shape the future of energy as power stations close and the need for decentralised customer energy resources grows. We’re searching for someone who combines sharp technical skills with commercial courage—someone who can expertly balance risk and reward to unlock value for AGL and our business customers.
You’ll be joining a team where innovation is celebrated, stakeholder relationships are key, and your ability to champion digital transformation (including AI and automation) will set you apart. If you’re passionate about business-to-business sales, love following energy news, and want to negotiate exciting energy solutions with major commercial and industrial clients, we want to hear from you.
As a Senior Commercial Advisor, you’ll be at the forefront of delivering tailored decarbonisation solutions for our Commercial & Industrial (C&I) customers. Our work spans behind-the-meter and retail power purchase agreements, renewable power stations, microgrids, solar, batteries, EVs, operations and maintenance, demand response, and gas and electricity solutions.
We’re not just closing deals – we’re solving complex problems, aligning commercial outcomes with sustainability goals, and helping our customers navigate a dynamic energy landscape. Each year, we kick off more than 200 construction projects at our customers’ sites, accelerating their journey to a lower-carbon economy.
Are you a technically brilliant legal or commercial professional, ready to channel your expertise into the commercial heart of Australia’s energy transition? If you’re driven by challenge, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and want to move beyond traditional legal work to shape high-impact deals, this is your moment.
