The Opportunity:

The Senior Collaboration Infrastructure Architect will serve as an individual contributor with deep expertise in Email, Collaboration and Compliance technologies. This role requires the ability to lead and execute highly complex or specialized projects, adapt established practices, and develop innovative solutions. This role supports a large (140K+ users) environment in a highly regulated industry.

What You'll Work On:

  • Understand and manage mail flow, with in-depth knowledge of Microsoft Exchange, Exchange Online Protection (EOP) and Proofpoint.
  • Ability to design enterprise-grade PowerShell automation frameworks (modules, logging, exception handling, Git integration) supporting a large messaging environment.
  • Utilize Microsoft Graph to integrate and manage various aspects of the messaging infrastructure, as well as authentication flows (OAuth2/Modern Auth), Conditional Access as it impacts Exchange & Teams workloads
  • Implement and manage Microsoft Purview solutions including Information Protection strategies.
  • Design, implement, manage, and monitor retention policies to ensure data is retained and disposed of in accordance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
  • Experience designing end-to-end governance architectures for regulated industries (retention, backup strategy, eDiscovery workflows, legal hold, and audit readiness).
  • Provide subject matter expertise and support for email migration planning and execution in Mergers and Acquisitions.
  • Provide guidance and coaching to junior staff as needed.

Education and Experience You'll Bring:

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 15 years of IT experience with Fortune 500 companies; supporting Microsoft 365 tenants with 25,000+ users and collaboration workloads.
  • Expertise in Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft 365, and related technologies.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Graph and Exchange API for managing messaging systems.
  • Strong understanding of Azure AD identity
  • Proven experience with complex PowerShell scripting in an M365 environment.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Purview, Teams, and Proofpoint.
  • Experience migrating email environments during M&A’s.
  • Understanding of networking and security principles as they relate to messaging systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Understanding of DMARC, SPF and DKIM.
  • Experience configuring advanced Purview capabilities (DLP, eDiscovery Premium, Audit v2, Insider Risk, MIP labelling, custom SIT development).

The base pay for this position is

$113,300.00 – $226,700.00

In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
