Senior Cloud Engineer

The Team: You will be part of a world-class engineering team, architecting various solutions for business requirements within different product offerings of SPGlobal Energy. The team is responsible for ensuring cloud solutions that deliver Greater Reliability & Resilience, High Performance, High Availability and Scalability.

The Impact: You will utilise your technical knowledge and analytical skills in implementing cloud services and governance solutions in partnership with development & business stakeholders.

The engineer will be responsible for supporting a large-scale deployment and all underlying systems related to supporting cloud computing workloads, primarily in AWS, Azure and GCP

Responsibilities

  • Implement AWS infrastructure, including compute, network and storage resources based on guidance
  • Engineer network solutions in AWS and establish connectivity to data centres.
  • Develop Terraform & Ansible scripts to deploy system configurations on the Cloud.
  • Deploy security patches and upgrades on RHEL, Amazon Linux and Windows systems.
  • Deploy systems monitoring and reporting solutions.
  • Address security vulnerabilities in infrastructure.
  • Respond to critical production issues and provide immediate workarounds to maintain business continuity.
  • Infrastructure vulnerabilities management and remediation, OS, and cloud vulnerabilities.

What We’re Looking For: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or Engineering is required, or in lieu, a demonstrated equivalence in work experience
  • AWS Certifications and knowledge on Azure Cloud and GCP preferred
  • 3+ years of experience in Application DevOps automation or Infrastructure Engineering
  • Experience with DevOps tools (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Ansible, GitHub Cloud and actions)
  • Experience with AWS managed services
  • Extensive hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), particularly with Terraform and Ansible.
  • Good to have knowledge on Python or other scripting languages
  • Experience in Agentic AI is desired
  • Able to work in a diverse team and a fast learner

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Candidates should have a minimum of 3 years of industry experience in a cloud and DevOps environment.
  • Develop scripts for automation of infrastructure provisioning.
  • Configure Security Groups, Roles & IAM Policy
  • Experience working with customers to diagnose the problem and work towards a resolution
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Understanding of various Load Balancers in a large data centre environment
