About the position:
Chevron invites applications for the role of Senior Cloud Engineer within our Messaging & Scheduling team in India. This position has responsibility for the critical platforms, tools, and capabilities that provide on and off-premise Cloud infrastructure services to every Chevron business units and sites. This position will provide broad exposure to the application of technology to enable business with many opportunities for growth and professional development for the candidate. The expectation for this role is 5-10 years of relevant experience.
Key responsibilities:
Leading the design and development of complex web solutions.
• Mentor junior and senior developers and provide guidance on best practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
• Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
• Create and enhance existing code implementing industry best practices around software design patterns to ensure the codebase is maintainable and scalable
• Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs.
• Implement responsive design principles to create applications that work across various devices and screen sizes.
• Integrate with back-end services and APIs hosted on Microsoft Azure.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes.
• Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure our applications remain current and competitive.
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science engineering or related field
• Total year of experience 5+ years with Cloud experience on Azure
• Must have Microsoft AZ900 Certification;Has good understnading M365 Messaging solutions and good understanding of the basics of Messaigng security
• Ability to create and communicate a clear product vision that aligns with business objectives and addresses the needs of connected workers.
• Experience in deploying solutions in on-premises and cloud-based environments.
• In-depth knowledge of digital tools and software platforms used in connected worker solutions, including Azure DevOps and Microsoft O365/M365 services.
• Ability to collect, analyze, and utilize data from connected devices to drive product development and improve performance.
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience with Microsoft Azure IaaS, storage, and networking
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions and manage service delivery through IT managed service providers.
• Proficiency in automation and scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, or Bash to automate cloud operations.
• Experience working on agile teams, utilizing methodologies such as SAFe, Scrum, Kanban
• Strong written and verbal communication
• Demonstrated business negotiation skills, influence, conflict resolution, and resolving technical stalemates
Preferred Qualifications:

Chevron ENGINE supports global operations, supporting business requirements across the world. Accordingly, the work hours for employees will be aligned to support business requirements. The standard work week will be Monday to Friday. Working hours are 8:00am to 5:00pm or 1.30pm to 10.30pm.
