Job Description

Key Result Areas:
- Act as the primary point of contact for 3rd party institutional/Unit trust clients and investment teams
- Review Investment Management Agreements (IMAs) and mandates to identify reporting requirements.
- Responsible for setting up new clients/products from start-up point to finish
- Review and distribute client reports (adhoc, daily, monthly, quarterly, annual) within agreed timelines.
- Review and distribute regulatory reporting (SARB, Reg 28, Reg 30, C48, B16, TIC and Derivative disclosure).
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client information in Client Reporting System
- Ensure daily control procedures are adhered to
- Responsible for prompt investigation and management of cash, scrip reconciliation issues to resolution
- Instruct outsource provider to process client contributions and withdrawals and monitor that these are actioned timeously
- Oversee outsourced administration processes to ensure compliance and accuracy.
- Assist with AML/KYC documentation and requests from brokers and custodians.
- Investigate and resolve trade matching and settlement issues escalated by our service provider.
- Co-ordinate all processes to ensure excellent execution of client takeovers and disinvestments through liaising with relevant teams within OMIG, outsource provider, clients and/or consultants
- Provide daily cash forecasts to trading room as compiled by the CRIMS Support Team and respond to any queries
- Co-ordinate the process to ensure management fees are recovered from client accounts as calculated by OMIG Finance
- Act as the point of contact and resolution of all relevant queries for clients, consultants, portfolio managers, and client directors
- Active involvement with stakeholder engagements
- Ability to identify inefficiencies in processes and drive automation
Requirements: Skills, Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Investments, or related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience within the asset management industry is essential
- In-depth understanding of client mandates, custody processes, and investment administration.
- In-depth knowledge of various asset types and trade cycles including trade matching and settlement will be advantageous
- Knowledge of unitisation and NAV calculations will be advantageous
- In-depth knowledge of trading, investments and administration systems – CRIMS and Hiport will be advantageous
- Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office - (Macro building/PowerBi) advantageous
- A good understanding of investment administration processes is essential with knowledge of segregated client reporting an advantage.
