THE PROGRAM:
Haven House is a time-limited, case-management supported tenancy program that provides young people with safe, self-contained housing and a wraparound support model for those engaged, or actively seeking to be engaged, in education, training and employment (ETE), where housing instability is a primary barrier.

The Role

As a Senior Case Manager, you’ll provide intensive, youth‑focused support to young women and gender‑diverse young people aged 17–22 who are working toward stability and independence. You’ll lead assessments, case planning, ETE goal setting and safety planning, helping young people build capability and transition confidently into private rental housing.

Working within a trauma‑informed, PIE‑aligned model, you’ll deliver holistic, high‑quality support that blends case management with group work, life‑skills development, youth participation and community connection.

You’ll also play a key role in cross‑sector collaboration—contributing to case reviews, outcomes reporting and continuous improvement across the Brisbane Region to strengthen the Haven House model.

Your Responsibilities

  • Lead daily service delivery, including case management, group work, life‑skills support and referrals.
  • Manage a small caseload and deliver high‑quality assessment, planning, goal setting and safety planning.
  • Develop and monitor case plans that integrate ETE goals, tenancy needs and wellbeing.
  • Coordinate day‑to‑day operations with the Region Manager and support service improvement.
  • Facilitate group activities, communal programs and practical life‑skills sessions.
  • Build strong referral pathways across ETE, housing, health and culturally specific services.
  • Work collaboratively with TSA teams, youth networks, education providers and housing partners.
  • Promote youth participation, contribute to reflective practice and represent the program in key networks.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor degree in Social Work, Human Services, Community Services, Psychology or related field (or equivalent). Essential .
  • Experience supporting young people with complex needs (homelessness, OOHC, FDV, mental health).
  • Experience providing peer support or informal leadership within a team.
  • Strong understanding of youth development, trauma‑informed practice, mental health, wellbeing and tenancy systems.
  • Experience delivering brief interventions and harm‑minimisation in youth settings.
  • Experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people.
  • Experience supporting young people from CALD backgrounds and diverse faiths.
  • Inclusive, respectful practice with LGBTQIA+ young people.
  • Current QLD Driver’s Licence.
  • Valid Working With Children Check (Blue Card).
