About the position
We have an excellent opportunity available for a Senior Buyer- Flexibles & Labels to make a difference at Kraft Heinz. 
The position is within the European zone and based in Amsterdam. You’ll be working in a high performing team, 
alongside peers always trying to reach the next level. You’ll be reporting into Fibers & Plastics Sr. Manager - Europe.
This role owns the flexibles & labels category across our European production footprint and will have significant 
exposure to senior internal stakeholders and cross-functional partners.


In brief, you are responsible for:
• Lead the end-to-end procurement lifecycle for the Flexibles & Labels portfolio supporting multiple production 
sites across Europe. Activities include sourcing, contracting, supplier management and productivity pipeline.
• Develop, champion, and execute sourcing strategies in line with business objectives that deliver sustainable 
value (top- and bottom-line).
• Build and maintain strong relationships with strategic and tactical suppliers as well as mitigate supply risk.
• Proactively manage contract coverage and maintanance to ensure supply continuity and mitigate risks.
• Monitor market and industry trends relevant to flexibles and labels (pricing, capacity, raw material, geopolitical 
and regulatory risks) and translate insights into actionable sourcing decisions.
• Embed ESG (environmental, social and governance) considerations into sourcing strategies and supplier 
execution — drive sustainable sourcing decisions, supplier sustainability assessments, and initiatives that 
support Kraft Heinz’s commitments and regulatory demands.
• Deliver cost savings and value through negotiations, supplier optimization, specification rationalization, and 
value engineering opportunities.
• Lead and support financial planning routines and budget setting for the spend area; translate complex data 
into clear insights and recommendations to support senior stakeholder decision-making.


Qualifications
Please kindly note that you need to have an EU Working Permit (Orientation Year Visa not included) in order to proceed for this position.
• Education: Bachelor or Master’s Degree
• 4 to 6 years procurement or sourcing experience;
• Broad based knowledge of Direct Materials Procurement including and understanding of packaging materials.
• Fluency of the English language is essential
• Strong analytical to translate complex data into clear insight and actionable sourcing decisions. 
• High results-orientation
• Strong written, verbal, and listening skills
• Ability to effectively negotiate and influence business decisions and change

• Ability to multitask and juggle projects at varying levels of complexity
• Organizational agility – knows how to get things done both through formal and informal channels
• Excel working and communicating with senior level stakeholders
• Priority setting – spends his/her time and the time of others on what’s most important. Eliminates roadblocks 
and creates focus.
• Strong understanding of Excel and in developing presentations
