About the role:
CLA is looking to hire a Senior Business/Systems Analyst to join our growing CAAS (Client Accounting & Advisory Services) State & Local Government team in Massachusetts.
As a member of CLA’s CAAS practice, you will assist in designing, implementing, and supporting clients’ needs with systems to enhance efficiency and reduce risk. This may include implementing a module within the client’s current ERP system, improving automated controls, or designing a custom fix.

What you'll be doing as a Senior Business/Systems Analyst:
· Lead system/module implementations to meet client needs. This will involve
· Working closely with clients to understand functional requirements
· Provide insight and guidance on process and control improvements to refine specifications and enhance success
· Draft design to address requirements
· Develop and oversee execution of robust test plans (unit and user acceptance)
· Provide documentation and training to facilitate user acceptance and change management
· Manage complex analysis projects
· Act as a consultant and advisor to your clients to solve problems, enhance efficiency, and reduce risk.
· Provide project management by managing multiple clients, work, and deadlines.
· Foster and build opportunities for our clients, communities, and people.
· Become an industry professional and attend industry-leading events and trainings.
· Maintain knowledge of the client’s organizational policies and procedures, federal and state policies and directives, advances in the ERP and digital space, and current accounting standards.
Required Education/Experience/Abilities:
· 4 years of relevant accounting and/or financial experience is required. Experience as a business analyst or project manager with Finance and/or HR/Payroll systems strongly preferred. Experience with state and local government municipalities strongly preferred. Strong background in Enterprise ERP (previously Munis) or School ERP Pro preferred. Experience with other ERP, Accounting, HR or Payroll systems also considered.
· Bachelor's degree is required. Combination of related experience, education, and training may be accepted in lieu of degree. Accounting, AIS, or MIS degree preferred but not required.
· Advanced knowledge of Data Analytics, Data Extraction Software, Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint preferred.
· Comfortable in fast paced environment and skilled in multitasking.
· Strong desire to deliver impeccable client service.
· Keen attention to detail, commitment to quality, and willingness to take ownership.
· Passionate about problem solving.
· Constant curiosity and desire to learn.
· Ability to travel to local client sites as needed.
· CPA and/or CGA certification preferred but not required.

Our approach to compensation emphasizes collaboration and career growth. We pay competitive wages and view compensation as an investment in our people. Factors such as geography, experience, education, skills, and knowledge may impact position of pay within the range.
The compensation range for this position in Massachusetts is $93,000.00 - $152,000.00.
