WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?

The Senior Business Systems Analyst is responsible for business analysis activities on medium to large size projects in a technical environment for the Branch Technology applications. Candidates must demonstrate advanced knowledge and ability to apply their BSA competencies in new and complex situations.

You will be responsible for execution of all aspects of requirements delivery- planning, elicitation, analysis, documentation, estimations, management, technology management, architectural governance and support for changes to applications related to Branch Technology using an Agile delivery environment.

The role will coordinate, develop, lead, communicate and execute activities to ensure objectives are accomplished according on set time frames. You will be working with business stakeholders, technology-based teams and internally within an cross-functional Agile lab.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

  • Understand and articulate requirements at a high level for work estimation - for completion of requirements, continuously improving the level of detail and accuracy of estimates
  • Manage risks, assumptions, and constraints for requirements, and communicate to appropriate parties as well as facilitate collaborative sessions with large and diverse business stakeholder groups to drive requirements discovery, analysis, requirement gathering and review
  • Analyze and document detailed business and system solution requirements using Agile methodology in the form of user stories, story maps, features, epics using Agile tools
  • Build and maintain a repository of reusable requirements documentation to support future initiatives, following the enterprise standards
  • Apply advanced coverage analysis techniques to ensure a relationship between scope, detailed requirements, and testing through implementation
  • Lead the business solutions and technology mapping of new or significant changes to application products/initiatives/processes
  • Support the development of end-user documentation, demo to key stakeholders and training
  • Support the consistency of standards and adherence to enterprise requirements methodology within the own BSA team
  • Assist and facilitate Agile ceremonies along with the Scrum Master and Product Owner

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?

 Must have:

  • 5+ years working as a BSA with progressively increasing responsibilities in the areas of requirements management on large and complex projects
  • Undergraduate Degree in Computer Science Degree, Business or equivalent
  • Proven experience with Agile project delivery with strong working expertise in JIRA, Confluence and flow charting / wire frame tools
  • Proven ability to be able to communicate well with developers, architects, QE, and business partners to build healthy working relationships.
  • Deep problem-solving skills, bringing order from ambiguity and Data analysis expertise.
  • A desire to constantly learn, share your knowledge, and teach others.

Nice-to-have

  • Recent Retail Branch experience or within the financial industry
  • Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or Advanced education in Business Analysis.
  • Agile experience/ certification
  • Strategic thinker with excellent interpersonal skills to work across functions and businesses, ability to facilitate and influence key decision makers and excellent interpersonal skills to work across functions and businesses
