The Technical Development team within the Engineering and Technology Innovation (E&TI) organization is seeking a Senior Business Operations Specialist to help lead strategy, standards and integration initiatives across the Engineering Test and Technology (ET&T) organization out of either Berkeley, MO; Hazelwood, MO; North Charleston, SC; Plano, TX; El Segundo, CA; Huntington Beach, CA; Long Beach, CA; Seal Beach, CA; Everett, WA; Renton, WA; or Seattle, WA. The selected candidate will work closely with Engineering Business Unit Workforce Strategy Leaders, Functional Chief Engineer Workforce Strategy Leaders, Finance, and Human Resources to execute strategies for monitoring, accessing, anticipating, and meeting engineering staffing requirements across the enterprise.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Partner with ET&T leaders on short and long range strategies, organizational goals, objectives and initiatives

  • Support the development of standard workforce tools and processes across ET&T

  • Develop reports, presentations, and communications for senior and executive leadership

  • Coordinate and develop tools and processes to track, analyze, and provide reports to measure the effectiveness of staffing strategies/workforce plans and to drive continuous improvement

  • Coordinate commitments with internal and external organizations to fulfill strategies. Identifies risk and opportunity potential, develops mitigation planning and refines the business case

  • Develop and executes project and process plans, implement policies and procedures and sets operational goals

  • Leverage a strong relationship with Boeing’s workforce analytics team to ensure quality data and tools are available across ET&T

  • Establish a data-driven planning process for better decision making and to better forecast changes to support demand planning, action planning, supply analytics, gap analysis and major ET&T initiatives

  • Exhibit a positive attitude and willingness to serve as a change agent

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • This position must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee

  • 3+ years of experience leading a large project or program which required the use of project management tools & processes

  • 3+ years of experience interfacing with and presenting to senior and/or executive leadership, including creating executive level briefings

  • 3+ years experience gathering requirements and building SharePoint solutions to manage project, program, or portfolio deliverables

  • 3+ years of experience continuously improving projects or programs

  • 5+ years of experience working with and supporting cross-functional teams with a focus on follow up to ensure alignment/completion

  • 5+ years of experience collecting data from multiple sources, performing analysis and presenting data

  • 5+ years of experience with Microsoft Office Products such as Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word

  • 5+ years of experience with the Microsoft Excel application using: formulas, VLookups, macros, pivot tables, charts, filters, and linking worksheets

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher

  • Experience developing and integrating strategic projects, plans, and initiatives to meet business goals especially as it relates to  workforce planning

  • Strong organizational skills to keep track of and document input from a variety of sources

  • Experience working in a multifaceted work environment, including managing multiple priorities

  • Experience leading organization through change management

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Experience with Tableau Dashboards

  • Advanced documentation skills including business process documentation

  • Experience with SharePoint Power Apps
