Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is seeking a Senior Business Operations Manager (Level M) to support the Mobility, Surveillance, and Bombers (MS&B) Division in Tukwila, WA.

This role serves as the key integrator of the division’s management system, driving alignment across programs, functions, and leadership to enable disciplined execution. The selected leader will partner closely with senior leadership to translate strategic priorities into actionable plans, provide insight into program performance, and ensure consistent application of program management best practices across the portfolio.  This position reports directly to the Vice President and General Manager of Mobility, Surveillance & Bombers, Boeing Defense, Space & Security.

Strong communication and organizational skills are critical to success in this position, along with the ability to build strong relationships, collaborate in a cross-functional environment, and utilize problem-solving skills to proactively identify and manage risks and opportunities.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Leads employees performing business management activities within Business Operations.
  • Leads the execution and continuous improvement of the division’s management system, ensuring alignment across programs and functions.
  • Develops and integrates division level plans, policies, and procedures, and provides input to business and technical strategies, goals, and objectives.
  • Partners with program and functional leadership to drive performance through data-driven insights, risk and opportunity management, and operational rigor.
  • Establishes and maintains strong relationships with internal stakeholders and leadership to enable effective decision-making.
  • Ensures consistent application of Program Management Best Practices (PMBPs), tools, and processes across the portfolio.
  • Supports the executive operating rhythm, including reviews, readiness assessments, and strategic planning activities.
  • Monitors and analyzes program and business unit performance, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities to improve execution.
  • Responsible for the execution of Workforce Planning and initiatives with collaboration with Data Analytics, Human Resources, Finance teams to enhance workforce agility and capability (systems, tools and process) across the division
  • Manages, develops, and motivates employees, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Top Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Experience in team building, leading cross-functional teams, motivating and engaging team member, and inspiring work groups through daily interactions
  • Bachelor's degree or higher or equivalent work experience
  • 5+  years of experience with Program Management Best Practices (PMBP)
  • 5+ years of experience leading through influence and partnering with cross-functional teams on projects, transactions or initiatives
  • Experience with critical business and financial acumen including risk, issue, and opportunity management to drive performance
  • 5+ years of experience with program oversight and metrics reporting
  • 5+ years of experience leading stakeholders in analysis of process data, metrics, models and flows to identify root cause of complex problems and development and implementation of preventive or corrective actions
  • 3+ years of experience in preparing and presenting executive level briefings
  • Experience in building strong business relationships and collaborating effectively with internal and external stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 5+ years of experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) or something similar
  • Experience in one or more functional areas
  • Experience operating in a complex, multi-program or portfolio environment
  • Experience developing a team to enhance engagement and performance

This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.

Travel: Willing to travel 20% of the time or more as needed

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range for $218,450 - $295,550
