As a Senior Business Intelligence Analyst on the Business Finance team, you will play a key role in enabling data-driven decision-making by building analytics, reporting, and data products that support Remitly’s core remittance and complementary products. You’ll focus on developing high-quality data models, dashboards, and analytical workflows, with an emphasis on scalability, self-service, and analytical rigor. You will partner closely with Finance and business stakeholders to turn complex data into clear insights that drive decisions and improve how we operate as a business.
This role is ideal for someone who is deeply analytical, technically strong, and detail-oriented, with a passion for transforming large, complex datasets into actionable insights. You should have strong business judgment and communication skills, enabling you to work closely with stakeholders to define key business questions and build data solutions that answer them.
What You’ll Do:
Own the design, development, and scaling of reporting solutions supporting remittance and complementary product metrics
Build scalable, self-service dashboards and data pipelines that enable granular analysis, variance investigation, and root cause discovery
Perform deep-dive and ad-hoc analyses to guide business decisions and uncover optimization opportunities
Partner with Finance and business stakeholders to define and evolve performance metrics aligned with business and financial goals
Stay current with AI/ML and analytics advancements and help evaluate and evangelize new technologies within the BI community
What You’ll Bring:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Economics, Finance, Statistics, or equivalent experience.
Experience: 5+ years of progressive experience in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, or a similar role.
Technical skills:
Advanced SQL skills, including writing complex and performant queries and building reliable data pipelines
Experience using Python for data processing, automation, and analysis
High proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets, including complex formulas and data analysis
Experience with BI tools such as Mode Analytics, Tableau, or similar platforms
Strong analytical thinking with exceptional attention to detail and data accuracy
Ability to work with ambiguity and translate loosely defined questions into structured, actionable analysis
Clear communicator who can present insights to both technical and non-technical audiences
Proven ability to work directly with business stakeholders to bridge data and business needs
Nice to Have:
Experience with data science, machine learning, or data mining
Exposure to AI-driven analytics or experimentation with LLM-enabled workflows
Mindset: Proactive, detail-oriented, and adaptable with strong prioritization and a bias for action.
