The Strategic Finance & Business Partnering team at Careem plays a pivotal role in enabling strategic decision-making across the organization. We work closely with cross-functional stakeholders including Strategy, Product, Operations, and Finance, acting as trusted advisors to drive sustainable growth and financial discipline. Our team is analytical, data-driven, and business-savvy — relentlessly focused on optimizing performance and unlocking value across all verticals.

About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Business Finance Analyst to join our high-impact Business Finance team. This role is critical in supporting key strategic initiatives by providing financial insights, performance analysis, and decision support. You will be responsible for building models, analyzing trends, and partnering with various teams to drive financial and operational excellence. This is a highly visible role, ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and is passionate about using data to influence business outcomes.

What you’ll do

  • Act as a strategic finance partner to vertical and functional teams, providing analytical support and financial insights.
  • Build and maintain detailed financial models to evaluate business cases, forecast performance, and support planning cycles.
  • Lead monthly and quarterly performance reviews, identifying trends, variances, and opportunities for growth and efficiency.
  • Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs), and deliver actionable insights to improve business performance.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Strategy, Ops, Data, and Product teams to align on key business decisions.
  • Drive automation and process improvements within financial reporting and analysis frameworks.
  • Support strategic projects such as pricing, investment decisions, cost optimization, and expansion initiatives.

What you’ll need

  • 4–6 years of experience in Business Finance, FP&A, Strategy, or Consulting — ideally within tech, e-commerce, or high-growth industries.
  • Strong financial modeling and analytical skills with advanced Excel and proficiency in financial tools and querying skills (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, SQL)
  • Demonstrated ability to translate data into insights and communicate complex ideas clearly to senior stakeholders.
  • Strong commercial acumen and business judgment; able to challenge assumptions and influence decisions.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Engineering or a related field (MBA or CFA is a plus).
  • A self-starter mindset with strong ownership, curiosity, and a passion for driving impact.
