We’re seeking a Senior Business Development Manager to drive growth across Virgin Media Business’s Channel, Wholesale, and Direct B2B markets.
This is a dynamic, high-impact role that requires a seasoned telecoms professional with a strong network in the Irish business market. You’ll identify and secure new opportunities, manage key partner and enterprise relationships, and work closely with internal teams to deliver tailored connectivity and communications solutions.
The ideal candidate will bring deep telecoms expertise, commercial acumen, and a passion for delivering value to customers through strategic partnerships and enterprise-grade solutions.
Business Growth & Sales Leadership:
Develop and execute strategies to grow revenue across Channel, Wholesale, and Direct customer segments.
Identify, qualify, and close new business opportunities through proactive outreach, referrals, and partner collaboration.
Manage complex, multi-product sales cycles including broadband, dedicated internet, cloud, voice, security, and mobile solutions.
Channel & Wholesale Partner Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with channel partners, resellers, and wholesale customers.
Drive partner enablement initiatives and co-create go-to-market campaigns.
Negotiate commercial terms and multi-year contracts that deliver sustainable value.
Strategic Account Development:
Work with key enterprise customers to understand their business challenges and design tailored connectivity solutions.
Collaborate cross-functionally with pre-sales, finance, service delivery, and marketing to ensure seamless execution.
Maintain a strong understanding of market trends, competitive positioning, and emerging technologies.
Performance & Reporting:
Achieve and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets.
Produce accurate forecasts, sales pipeline updates, and performance reports.
Represent Virgin Media at industry events and networking forums.
Minimum 7+ years’ experience in telecoms B2B sales, preferably across Channel, Wholesale, and Direct markets.
Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets in a complex, multi-product environment.
Strong technical understanding of connectivity, cloud, and communications solutions.
Exceptional relationship-building and negotiation skills.
Full driver’s licence required.
Commercially driven with a strategic mindset and strong customer focus.
Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
Excellent communicator – able to engage with C-level stakeholders and technical teams alike.
Highly self-motivated, goal-oriented, and proactive.
