We have an exciting opportunity for a full-time Sr. Business Analyst-WFM to join our IT team in Langley, BC.
Reporting to the Sr. Solution Architect, you will support workforce-critical platforms including Workforce Management (WFM) and Workday.
In this role, you will play a key functional leadership role in translating labor rules, operational practices, and business objectives into well-designed, testable, and supportable workforce system solutions. This role is critical to ensure that workforce systems accurately support scheduling, time, and pay across a large, unionized retail environment, delivered through a phased wave rollout.
You will be responsible for:
Eliciting, analyzing, and documenting workforce-related business objectives, labor rules, and operational practices.
Translating collective agreements, labor policies, and operational scenarios into clear, structured, and testable functional requirements
Leading discovery and facilitating workshops with business stakeholders, SMEs, Payroll, and Operations.
Leading and documenting fit–gap analysis against the selected WFM solution, including assumptions, constraints, accepted trade-offs, and configuration decisions.
Partnering with the Workforce Management Product Owner to frame decision options and clearly articulate impacts to compliance, payroll, operations, and system capability.
Designing pay‑impact‑focused test scenarios and support testing and parallel pay validation in collaboration with QA and Payroll, ensuring end‑to‑end traceability from labor rules through configuration and outcomes
Supporting phased rollouts by ensuring functional readiness, capturing lessons learned, and contributing to BAU readiness through documentation and knowledge transfer.
Analyzing system data and behavior to validate requirements, define functional integration needs with architects and developers, and collaborate with vendors and implementation partners to resolve functional issues.
You have:
A post-secondary diploma or degree in Business Analysis, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
7+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst supporting complex enterprise platforms.
Strong experience producing structured, functional documentation and traceability artifacts.
Proficiency with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Visio, or similar.
Working knowledge of SQL and Excel for data analysis and validation.
Strong process modeling skills (process flows, activity or sequence diagrams).
Hands-on experience supporting leading requirements elicitation, system testing, UAT, and pay-impact validation.
Experience with Workday or integrated HR ecosystems (considered an asset).
Experience working in unionized or highly regulated environments (considered an asset).

Compensation Details:
$94,552.00 - $118,190.00The compensation offered for this position will take into consideration location, education, skills, experience and other factors.
