Role Purpose

SJ is seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst to join the delivery of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Project Operations and Project Sales during a critical phase of the programme.

The project is currently in System Integration Testing (SIT), with Wave 1 scheduled to go live in June. This role is not starting from scratch; instead, it is focused on business readiness, solution validation, change impact, training, and go live support.

The successful candidate will work closely with business stakeholders and a Systems Integrator (SI) to ensure the solution is fit for real world use, business users are prepared for change, and process improvements are fully embedded into day to day operations.

The D365 solution integrates with SAP S/4HANA (Finance) and Workday (Talent Management), requiring strong end to end process thinking across systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a client side Senior Business Analyst for D365 Project Operations and Project Sales during SIT, UAT, and go live phases.

  • Work closely with business stakeholders to validate that the solution supports how the business needs to operate, both now and post go live.

  • Develop a practical understanding of current business processes to support change impact assessment, adoption, and training (rather than full As Is documentation).

  • Identify and articulate business process improvements enabled by D365 and its integrations and help the business transition to new ways of working.

  • Partner with the Systems Integrator to review SIT outcomes, clarify requirements, and ensure defects are resolved in line with business priorities.

  • Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by validating real world scenarios, supporting business testers, and ensuring issues are clearly understood and triaged.

  • Review test results with a strong focus on business usability, process flow, and operational readiness, not just technical pass/fail.

  • Play a key role in training rollout, including:

o    Supporting development of role based training materials

o    Ensuring training reflects end to end business processes

o    Assisting with or delivering training sessions as required

  • Support change management activities, helping stakeholders understand what is changing, why it matters, and how to operate effectively in the new solution.

  • Provide go live and post go live support, working with the SI and internal teams to resolve issues and stabilise the solution.

  • Collaborate closely with other Business Analysts, project managers, and the extended delivery team.

Key Skills & Experience

  • Strong hands‑on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Project Operations.

  • Experience with D365 Project Sales, including project quoting, contracts, and sales‑to‑delivery processes.

  • Demonstrated experience working in late‑stage delivery phases (SIT, UAT, go‑live, hypercare).

  • Strong understanding of project‑based business processes and operational workflows.

  • Proven ability to work closely and effectively with business stakeholders, building trust and credibility.

  • Clear experience identifying and supporting business process improvements, not just system changes.

  • Experience working in integrated system landscapes, particularly with finance and HR/talent platforms.

  • Experience working alongside a Systems Integrator, with the confidence to challenge and clarify.

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain impacts and changes in business‑friendly terms.

  • Experience with SAP S/4HANA Finance, including areas such as project accounting, billing, and revenue recognition is preferred.

  • Working knowledge of Workday, particularly in resourcing, worker data management, and system integrations  would be an advantage.

  • Proven experience supporting organisation‑wide training, system rollouts, or change initiatives.
