Why this role is important?

Nature and Scope:

The Senior Analyst, Business Intelligence and Insights is an individual with strong technical skills that will leverage SHN program, patient, and system data to generate outputs and insights that guide effective business decision making. They will work with key stakeholders within the BII team and within the program management and operations teams to understand requirements and develop data-driven solutions.

What you will do:

- Act as a conduit between client partners, SHN program management and operations teams, and the BII team to effectively understand and translate business and/or operational requirements into data-driven solutions and outputs.

- Recommend and facilitate the development of specific data solutions, both as ad-hoc requests/support and for ongoing scheduled outputs

- Adhere to best practices for testing and deploying aligned-on solutions

- Validate outputs, analyze trends, identify opportunities and weaknesses for end users

- Maintain business requirements, functional requirements and technical specification documentation for all outputs to ensure easy usability, referencing, and knowledge transfer

- Assess impact to existing solutions/outputs due to proposed operational and system process changes

What you will need:

- Minimum 2-3 years of experience preferably in a pharmaceutical industry

- Post-secondary education equivalent to a university degree in a numerate or analytical discipline such as Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or Engineering.

- Strong knowledge and understanding of relational databases and querying ability using SQL is a key skill

- Familiarity with CRM platforms (eg. SalesForce) is a strong asset

- Experience with Business Intelligence Platforms (eg. PowerBI) is a strong asset

- Strong understanding of retail analytics and systems is a good to have.

- Effective organizational and communication skills

- Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills

- Must be able to manage time effectively through flexibility & prioritization in an environment of fast-paced change and ambiguity
