Senior Business Analyst

What is the Opportunity?

As a Senior Business Analyst, you will be responsible for business analysis activities on small to large size projects. The role requires someone who can demonstrate advanced knowledge and ability and can apply the competency in new or complex situations and guides other professionals. In this role you will be responsible for execution of all aspects of requirements delivery- planning, elicitation, analysis and documentation, management, and support - for changes to Business Areas and Technology.

What will you do?

  • Develop plans and estimates for completion of requirements

  • Lead the IT business analysis for assigned projects/programs

  • Impact and influence to ensure stakeholder buy-in and support of the requirements strategy at the program level

  • Facilitate collaborative sessions with large and diverse business stakeholder groups to drive requirements discovery, analysis and review

  • Prepare requirements for review applying various communication techniques and lead requirements walkthrough and sign off sessions

  • Identify, track and resolve business systems issues during the project lifecycle

  • Support: QA in testing activities, Design and Development activities by providing requirements clarifications, Functional Support activities and the development of the end-user documentation and training​

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have:

  • 5+ years’ experience as a Business Analyst with progressively increasing responsibilities in the areas of requirements management on large and complex projects within financial services

  • 3+ years of Financial Industry experience, preferably with Custody, Actions, Investment Councilor Services or Trade Management 

  • Proven experience working as a BA, in various delivery methodologies such as Waterfall, Iterative, and/or Agile

  • Advanced knowledge and experience in requirements planning, elicitation and prioritization

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills and the ability to build healthy working relationships.

  • Expertise or working knowledge of custody applications such as Gplus, Trust, Milvus or BaNCS

  • Good understanding of SWIFT MT and MX messages

  • Relevant college/university degree and/or post-graduate degree in Business Analysis or related field

  • A desire to constantly learn, share your knowledge, and educate/mentor others

Nice-to-have:

  • Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or Project Management Institute –Professional in Business Analysis Certification (PMI – PBA)

  • Experience in one or more of the following areas:  Fund Accounting, Transfer Agency, Foreign Exchange, Securities Lending , ISO or  Web based and Cloud Technology
