The Senior Business Analyst will play a key role underlying all initiative delivery. The senior business analyst responsibilities are to understand, document and facilitate agreement on requirements, approaches, specifications and decision variables that enable the delivery of appropriate solutions to achieve business and project goals. You will elicit client needs and ensure requirements traceability as part of delivering applications and information solutions for internal business partners. This role requires technical expertise to handle configuration on low code/no code systems like (Microsoft Power Apps), and build Power BI Reports.
Reporting to the Product Engineering Leader, Corporate Affairs & Compliance, you will be part of the Corporate Affairs and Compliance product team within Corporate Technology Department. In this dynamic role, teamwork will be the key to your success as you work collaboratively within a cross functional team such as Product Owner, Software Developers and QA. You will be supporting and enabling our business partners on a wide range of business capabilities such as Trading Desk Compliance, Investment Compliance, Compliance Reporting, Personal Trading Compliance & Privacy, Tax Compliance, Public & Private Assets and Policy & Procedures. The key focus areas for this role are:
Lead Business Analysis processes and activities for projects of significant scope
Lead, coach and provide direction to Business Analysts
Manage system configuration on Microsoft Power Apps system applications
Capture, validate, and translate business requirements into detailed technical specifications, configuration changes, and functional designs.

Produce business analysis related documentation, including requirements, current and future state processes and workflows, report specifications and others to high quality standards
Store and maintain business requirements documentation in a centralized location, and provide delivery team with the detailed user stories and acceptance criteria
Validate delivered enhancements to make sure that they meet the acceptance criteria and raise and gaps in the implementation
Develop and maintain solid partnerships with Product Owners, Product Engineering Leads, Business partners and external vendors
Support the initiation and planning of the project including facilitating the definition of objectives, scope, and deliverables ensuring the project is setup for success
Ensure that business analysis framework and project controls are consistently applied within projects
Collaborate with business and information technology stakeholders facilitating the selection of solution alternatives for implementation
Suggest and implement recommendations on efficiency improvements where applicable
Assist business stakeholders in operational readiness activities, including impact analysis and documentation of process changes
Provide and implement recommendations for the remediation of deficiencies uncovered during requirements elicitation and analysis
Conduct analysis and implementation of data and process reengineering initiatives
Lead continuous improvement initiatives related to the assigned projects; demonstrate industry practices in project, business analysis and change management leadership
Implement business requirements on low code/no code systems (Power Apps)
Build Power BI Reports to meet business requirements
Provide Business Analysis leadership, consultation, direction, and end-to-end support to other business analysts
Consult with clients to identify opportunities for process and/or technology enabled initiatives to support organizational needs
Bachelor’s degree in business management, Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent
Certified Business Analyst Professional (CBAP) or equivalent is an asset
Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent is an asset
Process Improvement Methodology such as Lean or Six Sigma accreditation is an asset
Minimum 10 years experience in business analysis execution, preferably in a financial institution environment
Minimum 5 years experience leading complex end to end initiatives in senior business analyst capacity
Experience with and understanding of leading practices in business analysis, project management and process improvement
Ability to translate business requirements to technical specifications
Investment industry experience (i.e. understanding of investment products, trade life cycle, performance measurement, risk management, Capital Market, etc.) is an asset
Investment Compliance knowledge (i.e. Position Limit Monitoring, Substantial shareholder Disclosure) is an asset
Experience with the following products is an asset: Bloomberg, SimCorp Dimension, Charles River, FundApps Rapptr, Consensys
Data Management experience and database knowledge, using SQL (e.g. Oracle, Snowflake)
Excellent knowledge of software systems to understand and specify users’ needs is an asset
Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics Power Apps is an asset
Excellent knowledge of Power BI
Ability to work effectively both independently and in team environments
