The Senior Business Analyst - Metrics & Reporting plays a critical role in ensuring the organisation monitors and reports on the most relevant and impactful metrics to support strategic decision-making. This role plays a key role in enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of Core Technology Services by ensuring our reporting and KPIs align with the organisation’s long-term strategic goals and objectives.

This role partners closely with leadership and metric owners to evaluate current reporting frameworks, identify gaps or blind spots, and define future state reporting needs. The individual will act as a key liaison between leadership and metric owners to ensure reporting processes and platforms are fit for purpose, driving continuous improvement in how performance data is captured, analysed, and communicated.

Strong business analysis skills, a solid understanding of reporting technologies, and excellent communication abilities are essential to deliver insightful leadership commentary and executive-level updates that highlight successes and areas for development. This position requires an analytical mindset and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

We will count on you to:

Metrics & Reporting Analysis :

  • Collaborate with leadership and metric owners to review existing KPIs and reporting processes, assessing their relevance, accuracy, and completeness.
  • Identify gaps, blind spots, and opportunities for new or refreshed metrics that better align with strategic objectives.
  • Define future state reporting requirements and work with teams to implement improvements.

Stakeholder Engagement & Communication:

  • Act as the primary liaison between metric owners, leadership, and reporting teams.
  • Facilitate discussions to ensure shared understanding of metric definitions, data sources, and reporting goals.
  • Prepare and deliver executive-level insights, contextual commentary, and updates on performance trends and reporting enhancements.
  • Promote knowledge sharing and best practices related to metrics and reporting across teams.
  • Improve organisational understanding of key performance indicators and reporting tools.

Reporting Process Review & Improvement:

  • Evaluate current reporting platforms and processes for efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Recommend process improvements and support change initiatives to enhance data quality, timeliness, and accessibility.
  • Ensure alignment with best practices and organisational standards.

Strategic Support & Insight Generation:

  • Support leadership in interpreting metrics to inform strategic planning and operational decision-making.
  • Provide analytical insights that highlight successes and identify areas requiring development or intervention.

What you need to have: 

  • 5+ years working within Technology
  • 5+ years working in a business analyst or strategic analysis focused role
  • Significant experience with metrics, reporting and analytics
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills
  • In depth knowledge of IT metrics and strategic insights 
  • Strategic analytical capabilities and strong business acumen
  • Change management skills
  • Comfort with ambiguity, complexity and proven ability to create clarity in it
  • Experience dealing with confidential and business critical issues
  • Diversity as a strength, able to work across cultures and groups
  • Self-motivated with ability to handle multiple priorities and meet aggressive timelines
  • Experience working in a heavily matrixed, complex corporate environment
