Senior Business Analyst- Marketing

Who you are

The Senior Business Analyst will play a critical role in impacting our business by fueling data-driven insights that will empower our team to make informed decisions and strategies. Located at dentalcorp’s Toronto Support Centre and reporting to the Senior Manager of Marketing Strategy & Analytics, you will tackle problems and analysis to drive the Marketing Team’s agenda of patient and revenue growth across our network of practices from coast to coast. The Senior Business Analyst will serve as a key analytical partner to the Marketing Team, and also work closely with key stakeholders from IT, Finance, Operations, and Business Development. This role will focus on analyzing data to define marketing strategies for identified growth opportunities, determining the approach required for execution, and evaluating the effectiveness of resulting marketing plans. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical orientation, excellent communication skills, and the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights. The Senior Business Analyst will contribute to the success of marketing initiatives by delivering robust reporting, advanced analytics, and data visualization that support a highly data-driven department.

This position will be 4 days a week in our Toronto office (181 Bay Street), Mondays to Thursdays and Fridays are work from home.

In this role, you will

  • Develop actionable insights and recommendations backed by data and analytics that influence marketing strategy
  • Act as the Analytics business partner for the Marketing Team by translating complex data into easy-to-use dashboards, and ensuring they are well-equipped with timely and accurate data
  • Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and optimize operational infrastructure to support rapid growth
  • Query complex data from multiple sources and visualize data clearly in dashboards
  • Conduct analysis on patient behaviour and experience, network-wide patient studies, and secondary research
  • Foster a high-performance culture by promoting accountability and ensuring focus on achieving key marketing and financial KPIs.

What we’re looking for:

  • 5+ years of experience in a marketing analytics role
  • Degree in Business, Economics, Statistics, Computer Science or similar
  • Advanced technical proficiency in SQL and Tableau
  • Experience in Snowflake an asset
  • Strong MS Office skills - Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Expert knowledge of Excel, including tables, charts, and advanced formulas for data manipulation
  • Strong understanding of core marketing concepts including customer segmentation, marketing channels, CRM, attribution, funnel analysis, customer lifecycle, and performance measurement, to support reporting and analysis across marketing initiatives
  • Experience working with complex databases and datasets 
  • Strong attention to detail. Approaches data with a critical eye, quickly identifying gaps or discrepancies
  • Strong ability to build relationships, be persuasive, and influence stakeholders within and across teams
  • Experience translating data and insights into executive presentations and reports
  • Project leadership skills: Seeing projects through from ideation to execution and tracking, and solid stakeholder management
  • Natural curiosity and drive for constant improvements

Salary Range: The base annual salary range is $80,000-$100,000 (plus a bonus of up to 10% and competitive total rewards and benefits package). Salary is determined based on the candidate’s work experience and will be discussed during the interview process.
