As a Senior Business Analyst, Digital Innovation, you will gather and analyze information to document and publish business and technical requirements. You will support the evaluation of operational and business objectives and contribute to developing strategies that align with organizational goals. 

A caregiver in this position works remote out of Ohio, Florida, or Nevada, Monday - Friday 8:00am  5:00pm, with rotating weekend and holiday requirements.  

A caregiver who excels in this role will:  

  • Work with key stakeholders to assess the impact of business process changes to people, systems, and work processes. 

  • Analyze operational and system flows and develop and recommend actions for increased productivity and efficiency. Conduct interviews and facilitate meetings during scoping and business case development. 

  • Specialize in and use business process modeling, analysis and design tools and business process management automation technologies. 

  • Work closely with clinical caregivers and/or business leaders to analyze operational flows and recommend ways to reduce steps through the use of technology to improve efficiency. 

  • Assess solutions, current or proposed, for impact on clinical workflows, business processes and overall effect on the patient care process. 

  • Provide leadership and mentoring to junior business analysts, if applicable. 

  • In some teams, assist in the operational rollout and support of new solutions. 

  • Conduct Agile methodologies, writing user stories, and managing scrum ceremonies. 

  • Conduct analysis of data to identify opportunities for performance improvement and links performance outcomes to financial and business endeavors. 

  • Typically performs business analysis activities using a variety of techniques in initiatives of varying scope. 

  • Identifying the current state of processes, eliciting useful and harmful attributes of them, documenting models of the processes, and facilitating stakeholder groups to consensus regarding new business process designs. 

  • This person will act in a proactive manner to assist in identifying impacts and linkages to the business strategies, organization and its people, data and systems, business policies and business rules, as well as the physical assets of the business. 

  • Responsibilities will generally be within a well-defined scope within a specific business segment. 

 

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:  

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Information Technology, Management Engineering, Healthcare Operations, or related field. 

  • Five years of experience involving operational analysis, business process analysis, continuous improvement, and resource utilization in an information technology environment. 

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft products, including spreadsheets and database applications. 

  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and communications skills. 

  • Offset: High School diploma/GED and nine years of progressive healthcare IT experience. 

  • Offset: Associate degree and seven years of progressive healthcare IT experience. 

  • Offset: 10 years of related experience could offset the bachelor’s degree requirement. 

  • Certifications in Lean, Six Sigma, ITIL preferred. For Information Technology Division caregivers, ITIL Foundations certification is required within 6 months of the position start date. 

Complexity of Work: 

  • Deals with complex situations holistically without a high degree of supervision. 

  • Decision making style for this person shows a high degree of self-confidence and decisions are made quickly. 

  • Has the ability to see the overall picture and how individual actions fit within it. 

 

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: 

  • Healthcare experience with an organization

  • Experience in SW development environment  

  • Experience working with Epic SW 

  • Professional Scrum Master (PSM I) preferred 

  • Certifications from the International Institute of Business Analysts (IIBA) the Business Relationship Management Institute (BRMI) or Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) preferred 

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods.

  • Ability to travel throughout the hospital system.

  • Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment.

  • Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information.
