The Senior Bulk Sales Specialist is accountable for spearheading the strategic expansion of the Bulk sales portfolio. This executive is responsible for driving profitable sales growth through both the development of new, high-value accounts and the strategic development of existing client relationships. This position demands engagement with top level executives and senior leadership, adept management of high level accounts, and the proactive identification and development of market opportunities. A paramount focus is placed on consistently securing significant new business, while also providing technical and sales support to District Managers and account executives to secure new business.
  • Consistently meet and exceed all assigned objectives for profitable sales growth

  • Develops business plans and sales strategy for his/her sector. Plans and organizes activities to generate profitable growth and satisfying results (territory, deadlines, sales and profitability forecasts). Regularly uses CRM (Customer Relationship Management) to plan, schedule and report on day-to-day activities with customers and leads. Maintains accurate profiles of customers and leads in CRM. Promotes sound management by establishing selling prices within company guidelines. Manages accounts as well as competition. Develops new applications related to ALC’s products and services.

  • Networks with associations, stays up to date on new applications and technologies and market trends 

  • Works with large customers and identify opportunities to grow their business by providing technical support for their industrial bulk gas needs

  • Supports District Managers and Account Executives with the Bulk sales process to help drive new business and targets

  • Maintains the company’s high standards through a highly professional presentation and superior product knowledge.

  • Conducts all activities that are part of the company’s selling program: business reviews, joint calls, business development, training sessions, customer events, trade shows, etc.

  • Works with associated departments such as distribution, logistics, operations & engineering, and head office teams

  • Gathers and communicates strategic information on the local market, competitors and environment.

  • Participates in developing sales strategies and budgets.

 Required Education: 

  ●    Post-secondary degree (Science, Chemistry, Engineering, or Commerce highly preferred)

  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive industrial and/or contract sales experience, with a significant portion in a senior or leadership capacity.

  • Proficiency in advanced CRM systems (Salesforce expertise is mandatory) and other sophisticated business applications.

  • In-depth, comprehensive knowledge of the industrial gas industry.

  • Bilingual;  French and  English required.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: 

  A hunter: You are well connected with companies that could require industrial bulk gases in the manufacturing, additive manufacturing, automotive, ev, mining, food & beverage and other industries. You know the market to whom you must  target that will influence the decision to purchase our extensive line of gases.  

  • Speaks with confidence and guides discussion towards desired conclusions, uses persuasion and persistence to overcome objectives, understands customer needs, makes recommendations and decisions based on a complete analysis of facts.

  • Proven track record of negotiating with large companies and top level executives
