Senior Brand Manager - Cardiometabolic Slovakia

Key responsibilities / deliverables   

· Strategically manage and drive assigned brand(s) within the Cardiometabolic portfolio in Slovakia. Drive and implement the marketing strategy to achieve business objectives for the brand/indication; plan and execute marketing initiatives for target patients and/or customers in line with promotional guidelines.

· Develop a deep understanding of the market landscape, competitive environment, and the value needs of patients, physicians, and payers within the therapeutic area.

· Develop and maintain strong relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and ensure visible and active presence in the field.

· Serve as the primary point of contact for Regional Hub Therapeutic Leaders to ensure alignment with global strategy and sharing of best practices.

· Coordinate cross-functional customer planning to define local strategy based on global guidance, local unmet needs, targeted objectives, and innovative tactics, ensuring full alignment with Ethics & Compliance requirements; and manage relevant market research in line with IBU guidelines.

· Be accountable for sales forecasts, business cases, long-range plans, and operating budgets for brands within the scope of responsibility.

· Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (PRA, Regulatory, Medical, and Sales) to develop business strategies (e.g. lifecycle planning, pricing strategy) and deliver planned growth opportunities for current and pipeline products/indications.

· Routinely analyze market research, field visit insights, customer feedback, sales performance, and spending to optimize and refine marketing channels and solutions.

· Ensure effective communication within the team, across cross-functional departments, and throughout the wider organization.

· Develop innovative solutions and best practices to deliver customer value, while supporting, monitoring, and enhancing the implementation of Value-Based Selling and the Customer Dialogue Model.

· Act with integrity and ensure full compliance with all internal and external policies in all activities.

Required qualifications and competencies

In carrying out the role, the employee is expected to demonstrate the following qualifications and competencies, which serve as key criteria for evaluating professional performance in addition to those defined in the Individual Employment Agreement:

  • University degree in Life Sciences or Business; MBA or professional marketing qualification is an advantage.
  • Fluent business English, both written and spoken.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong product and disease area knowledge.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in pharmaceutical promotion or marketing.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to approximately 20% of the time.
  • Solid understanding of pharmaceutical industry economics and key business drivers.
  • Demonstrated learning agility and strong critical thinking skills.
  • Proven leadership capabilities and relationship-building skills, including experience in cross-functional teamwork and the ability to influence senior management.
  • Strong business development, negotiation, and influencing skills.
  • Executive-level presentation and storytelling skills.
  • Ability to understand and manage complexity across markets, products, stakeholder relationships, and the broader healthcare environment.
