Senior Brand Intelligence Director 

Location:  Charlotte, NC or NYC Offices, Hybrid, or Remote, Eastern Timezone, strongly preferred.  

The Senior Brand Intelligence Director is a senior strategic leader responsible for defining, measuring, and optimizing Intapp’s brand position and impact across markets, channels, and audiences. This role combines brand research, strategy, analytics, market intelligence, and data-driven storytelling to ensure the company’s positioning and reputation remain ahead of market trends. 

This role will partner closely with leaders across the business to translate complex brand and market signals into actionable insights that shape go-to-market strategy, messaging, and growth initiatives. 

What you will do: 

Brand research and insights 

  • Lead the development of a unified brand intelligence and audience insights framework that integrates client insights, market data, and digital analytics. 

  • Conduct buyer perception studies with key personas (Partners, CIOs, CMOs, etc.) 

  • Monitor and assess brand health, awareness, perception, and key success indicators across industries and geographies, including audience segmentation and sentiment analysis.  

  • Manage survey design and audience profiling. 

  • Partner with Creative and Campaigns teams for campaign recall, creative testing, overall message testing and validation. 

  • Translate brand performance data into strategic recommendations for brand positioning, thought leadership, content strategy, product marketing, go-to-market initiatives, and creative development. 

Market Intelligence 

  • Oversee market analysis to identify emerging trends, competitors, categories, technologies, and client sentiment impacting brand performance. 

  • Partner with Product Marketing to inform differentiation strategies and opportunity mapping. 

  • Build and manage an intelligence infrastructure that consolidates data from in-house tracking, digital analytics, research firms, and social listening platforms. 

Data-driven brand measurement 

  • Define and manage key brand metrics and dashboards that quantify brand equity, performance, and impact. 

  • Develop frameworks for linking brand metrics to pipeline, NRR, and client preference data. 

  • Create an always-on funnel research and perception tracking system (through surveys, social listening, digital tracking, etc.); socialize insights to optimize marketing performance.   

Leadership and collaboration 

  • Source and manage research partners. 

  • Build, lead and mentor a cross-functional team of analysts and strategists.  

  • Collaborate with Creative, Communications, Product Marketing, and the Campaigns teams to ensure insights inform storytelling and thought leadership. 

  • Collaborate with Marketing Ops and Product Marketing for integrated intelligence and competitive intel.  

  • Represent brand intelligence leadership in executive forums and discussions as needed. 

What you will need:  

  • Experience: 12+ years in research, audience insights, or brand intelligence roles within technology or enterprise B2B organizations. 

  • Expertise in brand tracking, competitive research tools, and AI-driven analytics. 

  • Proficiency in survey design. 

  • Adept at storytelling with data – gleaning insights from the research and crafting a narrative from it. 

  • Proven experience building and operationalizing brand intelligence and/or audience insights systems and KPIs. 

  • Influential in socialization of story and data. 

  • Strategic rigor, through a hands-on building approach.

  • Exceptional strategic thinking, communication, and executive-level presentation skills. 

  • Strong leadership presence with experience managing senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams. 

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Data Science, or related field required; MBA or advanced degree preferred. 

 

Preferred attributes: 

  • Experience in vertical B2B SaaS or AI-driven B2B software companies. 

  • Comfort navigating complex, matrixed organizations and translating insights for multiple audiences. 

  • Passion for connecting data and creativity to drive brand and business growth.
