As a Senior Accountant, you will play a crucial role in managing and overseeing the accounting functions within Bannockburn Capital Markets. This position requires a detail-oriented and strategic professional with strong understanding of accounting principles. The accountant will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, legal, and commercial banking to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with industry standards.
Essential Functions/Responsibilities
- Ensure proper accounting treatment for complex financial instruments, cash reconciliations, derivates, and other structured products.
- Oversight of collateral activities and payments
- Capital markets portfolio reviews, analysis, and reconciliations
- Interest rate portfolio back-office activities (customer payments/notices, swap servicing, etc.)
- Reconcile general ledger accounts and investigate discrepancies.
Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Needed to Perform Essential Functions of the Job
- 3+ years of accounting experience preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Advanced degree a plus.
- CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or equivalent professional certification is preferred.
- Microsoft Excel with some understanding of other financial software.
- Strong understanding of US GAAP and IFRS.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.
- Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced-environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines.

Development and Training
Pay Range:
$74,000/year to $100,000/year
