We are seeking a Senior Java Application Engineer with good technical expertise who is passionate about software development.
Any AWS knowledge would be a big bonus but not essential. (Any knowledge of Angular development would be a bonus but not required). Should have a good yet pragmatic understanding and appreciation of the benefits of Agile, Kanban and Lean methodologies.
Main Responsibilities
Development of Spring Boot microservices
Creation of unit tests
Creation of cucumber and playwright integration tests
Creation and deployment of AWS infrastructure using CloudFormation
Collaborating with other developers on the team and comfortable with occasional pair programming
Other Responsibilities
Provides senior level system analysis, design, development, and implementation of applications and databases. Integrates third party products
Translates technical specifications into code for complex new or enhancement projects for internal clients. Writes programs, develops code, tests artifacts, and produces reports. Employs software development techniques to ensure tests are implemented in a way that support automation
Elevates code into the development, test, and production environments on schedule. Provides follow up production support. Submits change control requests and documents.
Interfaces with cross functional team members and communicates systems issues at the appropriate technical level for each audience
Understands and complies with Information Technology and Information Security policies and procedures and verifies that deliverables meet requirements
Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Strong development work experience
Good understanding of Languages/Framework (Required): Java, Spring, etc
Other technologies/areas: AWS, API Design, Automation testing, Cucumber/Playwright
