Role Summary
Highly skilled quality assurance professional responsible for designing, building, and maintaining automated testing to ensure the quality, scalability, and performance of software applications.
Own automation strategy for finance products, architect frameworks, and drive innovation in automation processes across multiple products.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute automated test scripts for functional, regression, integration, and performance testing.
- Define automation architecture and best practices for finance products.
- Lead automation planning, execution, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Manage stakeholder communication and provide technical leadership.
- Oversee test environment management and regression suite maintenance.
- Work closely with developers, product owners, and manual testers in Agile/Scrum environments to understand requirements and define test scenarios.
- Guide and mentor junior QA engineers in automation best practices, coding standards, testing processes and review automation scripts.
- Develop, maintain, and upgrade automated test scripts, utilities, simulators, data sets and other programmatic test tools required to execute test plans.
- Execute functional and regression tests.
- Triage, log, and track defects to closure, performing root cause analysis (RCA) on failed tests to differentiate between bugs and environment issues.
- Work on automation on various products with the team whenever needed.
- Ability to meet deadlines and work independently.
- Perform manual testing as per requirements.
- Work with BA to understand functionality and work independently during testing life cycle.
- Architect, enhance, and maintain robust, scalable, and reusable test automation frameworks (e.g., Page Object Model, Keyword-driven, BDD/Cucumber) for web, mobile, or API applications.
Required Skills
- 8–12 years of experience in QA automation.
- Strong hands-on experience in Java, Python, JavaScript, etc.
- Expertise in Selenium WebDriver, Cypress, Playwright, Appium, or TestNG/JUnit.
- Proficiency in Rest Assured, Postman, or Swagger.
- Experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Github Actions. etc).
- Familiarity with Docker and cloud-based testing environments (AWS, Azure).
- Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases for backend validation.
- Proven ability to design modular, reusable automation frameworks.
- Ability to drive innovation and mentor large teams.
- Understanding on other market standard automation tools like: playwright, UFT etc
- Experience in Agile methodology and test management tools.
- Good understanding of Finance domain processes and products.
- Good Knowledge of GIT/SVN, Jira and Agile practices
- Good knowledge of SDLC, defect lifecycle, testing methodology.
- Excellent hand-on in Microsoft excel and word
- Understanding of AI and implementation approaches.
Good-to-Have Skills
- In-depth understanding of Finance domain processes and products.
- Experience with performance testing tools (JMeter).
- BDD Cucumber, Gherkin.
- Familiarity with tools that use AI to reduce test maintenance, such as Testim, Mabl, etc
- Security Testing- Basic knowledge of testing for vulnerabilities.
