Own the audio vision and execution for core gameplay systems, weapons, environments, UI, and cinematics.
Design, record, source, edit, and mix high-impact FPS sound effects aligned with modern combat gameplay.
Ensure clarity, impact, and mix discipline in dense, high-intensity FPS combat scenarios.
Implement and tune audio directly in Unreal Engine (Blueprints, MetaSounds, attenuation, spatialization, RTPCs, profiling and debugging tools).
Evaluate, recommend, and guide integration of audio middleware (e.g., Wwise, FMOD, or Unreal-native solutions) in partnership with engineering.
Architect scalable and performant audio systems that support multiplayer gameplay.
Define audio pipelines, naming standards, asset management workflows, and implementation best practices.
Establish and manage memory, CPU, and voice budgets; profile and optimize runtime performance.
Participate in playtests and rapidly iterate based on gameplay and user feedback.
Help define long-term audio direction as the project and team grow.
Shipped at least one AAA PC or console title as a Senior or Lead Audio Designer (FPS experience required).
Deep hands-on experience implementing audio systems in Unreal Engine.
Proven experience designing impactful FPS weapon, combat, and spatial audio.
Demonstrated experience evaluating and integrating audio middleware in collaboration with engineering.
Strong understanding of 3D spatial audio, occlusion, obstruction, and mix clarity in multiplayer environments.
Ability to independently manage the full audio production cycle.
Strong cross-discipline collaboration skills with design and engineering.
Player-focused mindset with strong sensitivity to gameplay feel and readability.
Experience working on multiplayer FPS or live-service titles.
Experience building audio pipelines from prototype through launch.
Experience supporting large-scale combat scenarios with dense soundscapes.
Familiarity with console audio requirements and certification constraints.
Experience mentoring or growing an audio discipline over time.
Ownership of audio direction on a new AAA FPS IP.

US-California-Los AngelesThe expected base pay range for this position in the location(s) listed above is $83,790.00 to $216,700.00 per year. Actual pay may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Employees hired for this position may be eligible for a sign on payment, relocation package, and restricted stock units, which will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis. Subject to the terms and conditions of the plans in effect, hired applicants are also eligible for medical, dental, vision, life and disability benefits, and participation in the Company’s 401(k) plan. The Employee is also eligible for up to 15 to 25 days of vacation per year (depending on the employee’s tenure), up to 13 days of holidays throughout the calendar year, and up to 10 days of paid sick leave per year.
