Job Summary
This role focuses on monitoring and strengthening control effectiveness across the business. The incumbent will be tracking and ensuring timely closure of audit, regulatory and business review issues, maintaining assurance, sampling and operational risk databases, and preparing audit closure packs and governance submissions. The role also supports retail credit governance by executing monthly sampling, maintaining evidence of compliance, attending assurance forums and committees, and proactively advising on emerging retail credit control risks.
Job Description
- Lead the execution of quality assurance and governance assessments to ensure compliance with PPSG (Policies, Procedures, Standards, and Guidelines).
- Conduct regular process and system reviews to ensure quality standards are embedded and support the organization’s zero-defect objectives.
- Perform risk-based quality assurance checks and audits, evaluating adherence to defined policies, procedures, and control frameworks.
- Facilitate monthly calibration sessions with Team Leaders and Managers to ensure consistency and accuracy in quality and risk assessments.
- Analyze and consolidate internal and external audit findings, providing clear reports and actionable insights to management.
- Drive root cause analysis on identified control process anomalies (CPAs) and support the development of effective corrective action plans.
- Identify quality gaps and recommend targeted coaching, training, and process improvements to enhance performance.
- Prepare and deliver periodic reports, including trend analysis, emerging risks, and progress against agreed action plans.
- Monitor compliance with governance and risk requirements, ensuring timely completion of assessments, checklists, and reporting obligations.
- Maintain accurate records and audit trails for all quality assurance activities, while escalating significant risks, non-compliance issues, and process deviations to senior leadership.
Education
Bachelor's Degree: Risk Management and Financial Risk Management (Required)
