A Day in the Life:

JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking a Sustainability Specialist to lead and support key environmental initiatives across our global supplier network. This role will focus on certification management, chain of custody documentation, supplier engagement, and sustainability reporting. The ideal candidate will bring deep analytical capabilities, meticulous attention to detail, and hands-on experience in sustainability within supply chain contexts. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with internal teams and external suppliers to ensure compliance, drive continuous improvement, and support strategic sustainability projects.

 RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead certification tracking and management across suppliers, including scope certificates, transaction certificates, and production documentation
  • Maintain and refine systems for organizing and storing chain of custody documentation
  • Engage with suppliers and internal stakeholders to collect, verify, and update sustainability certifications and related data
  • Track and analyze sustainability KPIs, consolidate data, and generate actionable insights to inform strategy and reporting
  • Prepare dashboards and progress reports for internal and external stakeholders
  • Support supplier engagement initiatives, including program development, capacity building, and sustainability workshops
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on sustainability goals and documentation requirements
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of processes and tools related to sustainability documentation and supplier performance

EDUCATION & PRIOR EXPERIENCE NEEDED

  • Bachelor’s degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Supply Chain Management, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred
  • 3–5 years of relevant experience in sustainability, supply chain, or certification management
  • Strong understanding of environmental and social sustainability standards, especially related to material certifications and chain of custody
  • Proven experience with supplier engagement, data tracking, and process management
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into clear insights
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive in managing multiple priorities
  • Familiarity with environmental regulations and industries such as agriculture, leather, and cotton is a plus
  • Strong communication skills in English; proficiency in additional Asian languages is desirable
  • Willingness to travel as needed
