Regulatory Reporting  -Senior Associate

About Process:

The team you will be joining is a part of State Street Global Markets , one of the biggest asset managers in the world, that provides services to the world’s governments, institutions and financial advisors. The team has the responsibility to report the FX and SF transactions emanating from its various European trading venues. The European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) is an independent European Union (EU) Authority that contributes to safeguarding the stability of the EU's financial system by enhancing the protection of investors and promoting stable and orderly financial markets . The SSGM regulatory reporting team covers 3 major ESMA regulations- MiFID, EMIR and SFTR. MiFID II (Markets in Financial Instruments Directive) covers new dealing commission rules, transaction reporting, clearing and other transparency requirements. The European Market Infrastructure Regulation, otherwise known as EMIR, was created with the intention of stabilizing over-the-counter (OTC) markets found within EU member states. ESMA regulates securities financing activities by setting out reporting requirements, data access, collection, verification, aggregation, comparison and publication of data on securities financing transactions (SFTs) by trade repositories (TRs). The Securities Financing Transactions Regulation (SFTR) is the main piece of EU legislation in this area

RESPONSIBILITIES:    

Responsibilities will include:-

  • Good knowledge of any Regulatory reporting guidelines, example- ESMA regulations like MiFID, EMIR and SFTR
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills
  • Work as a team player in a global team environment
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal planning, and analytical skills.
  • Deadline and detail oriented.
  • Demonstrated computer proficiency, including advanced knowledge of MS Excel, as well as problem solving and analytical skills
  • Technical Skills – IT and Systems

REQUIREMENTS:

Education and Experience 

  • Graduate and above
  • Hands on experience on complete Regulatory Reporting  process is mandatory.

Skills/Knowledge  

Primary Skills (Must Have)

  • University degree in Business majoring in Accounting, Finance, or other Financial-related programs
  • Overall experience of 5+ years in Regulatory reporting related work.
  • Certifications: Candidates pursuing FRM (Financial Risk Manager by GARP) / CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) / CISI (Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment) are preferred, but certification is not a must for the role.
