POSITION TITLE: SENIOR ASSOCIATE, PUBLIC AFFAIRS AND SOCIAL MEDIA
POSITION SUMMARY: Work congruently with the Public Affairs Manager to develop and implement Government Affairs Office’s (GAO) overall social media strategy and provide tactical support with the distribution of public affairs content and other projects as directed. He/she will provide external communications distribution support to the Lotus Division’s work to improve home health care delivery and policies and will develop and maintain the division’s brands and ensure communications are consistent and clear to external audiences. Engage online and with social media audiences daily and help maintain relationships with key influencers. Support GAO and Public Affairs with a wide variety of tasks, including daily social media engagement (Facebook/Twitter/etc.), planning, and analysis. Collaborate consistently with Grassroots Advocacy to assist in the development of an overall GAO web presence plan for our Ambassadors. Perform social media engagement activities (crafting, posting and tracking posts across various social media platforms) as directed in support of GAO policy goals and branding. He/she will also work with the public affairs firm(s) to integrate the communication efforts of GAO and the external audiences.
