About the Role: The Senior Associate - Order to Cash (OTC) Collections will be part of the Order to Cash team and be responsible for the Collections process for designated OSTTRA product lines. This position requires someone with a passion who can independently work with Sales, Business Heads/Leads and clients directly to build a professional relationship to optimize the collection process to match the industry standard.

Responsibilities and Impact:

  • Business Understanding: Deliver the Collections process with a strong understanding of OSTTRA businesses and gaining a good understanding of its capabilities and data. Responsible for developing and maintaining relevant SOPs.
  • Systems Understanding: Build complete understanding of different billing systems used in OSTTRA specifically SAP and engage with respective technical teams on resolving issues
  • Account Management: Ensure appropriate allocation of clients to team members in a balanced manner for timely collection and resolution of client’s issues.  Someone who can build a strategic metrics to proactively identify issues, patterns, and strengthen the relationship with key clients along with respective Sales and AMs.  
  • Documentation & Reporting: Complete control of client’s emails, list of open issues along with clear action for e2e closure. Responsible for Interactive Commercial Dashboard highlighting value additions, delays, issues and find new opportunities to optimize the cashflow. Developing and implementing realistic payment plans and schedules as per company's requirements.
  • Stakeholder Management: Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Technology, Finance and customers to resolve billing errors, credit issues, payment disputes, expedite the collections process and maintain momentum throughout the year. Serve as the main point of contact for internal departments and stakeholders. Provide extended support to the Billing Team to make amendment in the invoices, where necessarily required
  • Problem Resolution: Proactively identify and resolve discrepancies or issues that may arise during the order cycle, such as billing errors, address issues, incorrect product information, requirement of PO to be quoted on the invoice, tax issues etc.
  • Key Metrics: Responsible for producing metrics including but not limited to:
    • Cash Inflow forecast to Treasury
    • Collection Effectiveness Index (CEI)
    • Recovery Rate
    • Right Party Contact (RPC) Rate
  • Audit Support: Leading the engagement with auditors for the Collections process & ensuring timely closure of audit items
  • Process Improvement: Candidate should have gained experience in process and systems transition. They should be obsessed with efficiency by proactively identifying opportunities to enhance and streamline existing processes, fix any current gaps, remove wasted time and effort, leveraging automation and sharing best practices to improve efficiency and accuracy
  • Initiatives / Projects: Lead initiatives / projects as required to support any business driven / system changes
  • Risk and Control: Ability to draft risk and control matrix for the collections process and create robust documentation and maintaining it

What We’re Looking For:

Basic Required Experience:

To be successful in this role, the Senior Associate - Order to Cash (OTC) Collections must possess a mix of Technical & Professional competencies. They must be adept at:

  • Experience: 10-12 years of relevant experience in an OTC process with a global organisation. Financial Services experience will be preferred.
  • Stakeholder Management: managing key stakeholders across teams such as Sales, Technology including Finance across multiple locations
  • Customer Management: Ability to resolve customer queries with effective resolution within agreed timescales
  • Teamwork: A collaborative and cooperative attitude, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams. Experience of leading a team would be preferred
  • Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex billing information clearly and concisely to key stakeholders. Good presentation skills is a must
  • Analytical skills: Strong ability to analyse billing data, identify trends, and explain variances
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous approach to reviewing historical outstanding invoicing data, identify and resolve issues with the stakeholders and customers, understand and resolve queries right first time within the agreed timeframe. Candidate should be highly accurate in data entry and record keeping
  • Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage competing priorities effectively.
  • Problem-solving: Proactive and solution-oriented mindset, with the ability to identify issues and implement effective resolutions. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues.
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage a high volume of work in a fast-paced environment.

Technological proficiency: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, advanced formulas) and extensive experience with SAP, High Radius and Salesforce environment for billing functionalities.    

Qualifications:

  • Graduate in Finance. MBA is preferred.
  • Specialization in order to cash management process at least for the last 10-12 years
  • Proven specialization in collections process
