As a Senior Associate, you'll work as a key member of a project team to solve complex business issues from strategy through execution for our clients across North America. These client projects will range from assessments and pilots to comprehensive end-to-end procurement transformations, on teams with various sizes and composition. You’ll work alongside Junior, Senior or Executive client teams to conduct detailed analyses, draw insights, strategize, develop and communicate recommendations, and implement these recommendations to create lasting value. PwC Professional skills and responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to:
Procurement
Experience supporting procurement operating model, strategy development, strategy implementation, sustainable sourcing
Experience with analyzing client data for spend analysis
Apply quantitative and qualitative analytical skills to help structure and analyze the problems of the client and report the findings and results
Understand end-to-end source-to-pay (budgeting, planning, sourcing, procurement, payment)
Lead spend analysis and understand potential levers leading cost savings
Understanding procurement maturity assessments for driving procurement improvement
Able to generate and have experience in implementing efficient sourcing and category management strategies such as: TCO, supplier collaboration, design to cost, risk management, price leverage, organizational design, operating model, global sourcing, digital procurement, etc.
Lead and support cost and scenario analysis, price forecasting and market trends
Develop negotiation strategies for procurement process, as well as contract negotiations to secure profitable deals (time, cost)
Engagement Delivery
Demonstrate in-depth knowledge and experience in various aspects of procurement transformations to drive cost reductions, improve processes or performance, or implement technology solutions as required;
Support the delivery of engagements by conducting detailed analyses, preparing client and executive presentations, preparing procurement documents
Leading mixed consulting/client teams of 2-3, from initial assessment, through to implementation and continuous improvement;
Support management of engagement risk and project economics, including planning and budgeting;
Business Development
Develop and maintain trusted relationships with decision makers at key clients;
Contribute to pursuits and proposal development, including supporting the development of innovative approaches and methodologies;
Collaborate with PwC colleagues across other operating units and lines of services globally to “win as one” and develop unique solutions to service our clients’ needs.
Practice Development
Support the development of thought leadership in collaboration with like-minded professionals;
Conduct market research and strategy development on new and emerging technologies and practices;
Develop and deliver training and share knowledge from across the global network with our team;
Contribute to planning and execution of regular Digital Procurement practice-wide meetings and status calls, and other team events;
Actively participate in staff recruitment and development activities.
Personal Development

What You'll Bring:
Your skills, knowledge, and experiences are what set you apart. Here's what we look for:
Minimum of 3-4 years’ experience in a procurement function or similar role within the industry and/or for a leading management consulting firm
Working knowledge of, and practical experience in spend management and analytics, category management methodology and strategic sourcing (direct & indirect) sustainable and/or agile procurement, process optimization, procurement/ERP technology solution implementation, operating model development and implementation, supplier relationship management, value chain risk management, etc.
Proven ability to build client relationships, identify and address client needs, utilize professional networks and community involvement
Analytical mindset, and experience in using data processing and dashboarding tools (e.g. Excel, Alteryx, PowerBI, Tableau, etc.)
Experience and familiarity with using and deploying procurement/ERP technology solutions (e.g. SAP, SalesForce, Workday, etc.)
Strategic and creative thinking, and problem-solving skills
A high level of professional integrity, a commitment to teamwork, a strong desire to learn, and enthusiasm to motivate others
Excellent communication and presentation skills; ability to work with and present to various levels of seniority in an organization
High degree of initiative and proactive attitude to take ownership of tasks and assignments, and accept responsibility for outcomes
Experience in preparing and/or coordinating complex or comprehensive written and verbal materials
An interest in continuous upskilling, learning new tools and adapting how you work for a digital world

The salary range for this position is $84,700 - $134,700. The posted salary range represents the expected hiring range for PwC locations in major city centres. Given our national recruiting approach, ranges may vary for positions in other locations. At PwC Canada, base salary is determined by your skills, experience, qualifications and work location. In addition to base salary, eligible employees may have opportunities to participate in variable incentive pay programs which are designed to reward individual and firm-wide achievements. We are committed to offering competitive compensation and adhere to all relevant pay transparency legislation.
