The new laboratory management senior associate is based in Ballerup and supports Genmab’s innovative products by enabling release and stability testing according to ICH guidelines. You will have great impact on shaping working culture and laboratory capabilities meanwhile taking responsibility for your daily tasks.
This position is responsible for the support of laboratory management activities at our QC laboratories in Copenhagen within Genmab.
As Laboratory Management Senior Associate, you would ensure the efficient and effective day-to-day lab management activities which include lab procurement, lab safety, lab operations, lab logistics, equipment life cycle management and other enabling services for the QC laboratory. You will also work closely with Genmab facilities team and the other global lab management team members. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organizational agility, the ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects, and demonstrated drive for results and has knowledge and experience in running a laboratory with good understanding of the GMP regulation and environment. The position reports to the Senior Manager, Global Lab Management in DK and you will work very closely with the QC lab in Ballerup.
Supporting the lab procurement and troubleshoot issues arise from the process in QC Lab
Lab logistic and inventory monitoring support for the QC Lab at Ballerup
Supporting new equipment purchases, implementation and decommissioning, removal of obsolete or unnecessary equipment, in close collaboration with IT, Facility management and laboratory personnel
Supporting the QC equipment team for equipment qualification, maintenance and repair activities and maintaining close collaboration with IT system owners and super users of the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS)
Act as a safety role model in the QC laboratory by proactively promoting and adhering to EHS policies, ensuring full compliance with applicable legal, regulatory, and company requirements (e.g., GMP, ICH, local occupational health and safety regulations), and actively supporting risk assessments, incident reporting, safety training, inspections, and continuous improvement of laboratory safety practices. Communicate, maintain relationships and be a liaison with external vendors for laboratory service, consumables, and equipment
Monitor and ensure the supply of common lab consumable and items are in adequate supply such as dry ice, CO2, laboratory coats, gloves, goggles, waste bin, etc
Assist in overseeing general laboratory and facility-related work requests including infrastructure maintenance and repair, renovation and upgrade projects to ensure an excellent operating QC laboratories facility
Support and assist in creating work instructions for lab facility management and related activities in Genmab’s documentation system
A minimum of a Bachelor Degree in Biology/Chemistry or as Academy Profession (AP) graduate in Lab Technician
3 years of lab management experience, with experience or good understanding of GMP laboratory regulation and environment
It would be preferred to have experience and knowledge in safety and OHS/EHS regulations in laboratory environment
Experience in working with people from diverse backgrounds, discipline and culture
Strategic mindset, adaptive, enthusiasm, willingness to learn, hands-on mentality, strong work ethic and excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
This role is located in Copenhagen/Ballerup and is an onsite role.
