What You Will Achieve

In this role, you will:

  • Manage and develop supplier relationships across assigned categories, ensuring risk management and compliance with legislation and company policies.
  • Identify and implement improvements in Procurement processes, tools, policies, and procedures to enhance efficiency and proactive engagement.
  • Support complex local sourcing initiatives, including spot buying, and manage contract approvals in collaboration with the Pfizer Legal Department.
  • Plan and coordinate inventory management for all materials, ensuring quality requirements are met in collaboration with the quality control team.
  • Act as the site coordinator and liaison between client groups, suppliers, sourcing teams, and other stakeholders, resolving service-related issues.
  • Monitor and follow the performance of main suppliers in relation to internal customers, ensuring supply channels conform to quality standards.
  • Lead local and regional client relationship management with senior stakeholders, developing impactful short- and long-term solutions for customers.
  • Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices, Sarbanes-Oxley, and other regulatory requirements, reviewing deviations and identifying corrective actions.
  • Maintain documentation and standard operating procedures (SOP), contributing to moderately complex projects and managing time to meet targets.

Here Is What You Need (Minimum Requirements)

  • High school diploma (or equivalent) with 8+ years of experience or associate’s degree with 6+ years of experience or BA/BS with 2+ years of experience or MBA/MS with any years of relevant experience  
  • An excellent understanding of the end-to-end procurement process, including experience in Strategic Sourcing & Supplier Management
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong organizational and planning abilities
  • Strong business systems knowledge

  • Relevant pharmaceutical experience
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and collaborate on projects across different sites and functions

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $72,300.00 to $120,500.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 10.0% of the base salary.
