Overview

This role is a focal point for procurement of associated goods, materials, supplies, and services with assigned suppliers. Collins has both Product and Non-Product Buyers. They are responsible for purchase order placement, delivery assurance, and other procurement-related activities

What You Will Do

• Key role in procurement operations by managing purchase requisitions and converting them into purchase orders while ensuring cost, quality, and delivery targets are met.

• Executing day-to-day purchasing activities and adherence to standard work.

• Processing Purchase Requisitions (PRs), issuing Purchase Orders (POs) and Exceptions in SAP

• Ensuring timely delivery of goods and services in alignment with company policies and budgets.

• Negotiate pricing, lead times, and payment terms (within delegated authority)

• Follow up on the order acknowledgement

• Monitor Schedules and ensure OTD adherence

• Resolve delivery issues and manage shortage escalations

• Maintain supplier communication and performance tracking

• Managing supplier relationships at an operational level

• Ensure purchases comply with procurement policies

• Support cost-saving initiatives and risk mitigation strategies

• Maintain accurate purchasing records and documentation

• Support accounts payable with 3-way matching (PO, GRN, Invoice)

Qualifications You Must Have

• Bachelor of Engineering ( Aerospace/Electronics/Mechanical ) with 4-9 years of tactical procurement experience in a reputed aerospace or automotive industry

• Knowledge of SAP MM and its interface with Planning and Production scheduling modules

• Ability to effectively communicate with global suppliers and global teams.

• Good communicator with global multi-cultural experience and exposure to global suppliers

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Knowledge of AS9100 standards

• Working experience in highly dynamic operations environment
