Job Description & Summary

Pwc Luxembourg is hiring a Senior Associate – Deals (Financial Due Diligence) (m/f/d). What if it was you?

Your mission: Our Deals (Financial Due Diligence) team supports corporates, private equity houses and financial institutions throughout the transaction lifecycle by providing independent financial insights on buy- and sell-side transactions. You will work within multidisciplinary and international teams on cross-border deals, helping clients understand historical performance, key risks, and value drivers to support informed investment decisions.

As a Senior Associate in Financial Due Diligence, you will take ownership of core workstreams across transactions, working closely with Managers and Directors to deliver high-quality, insight-driven analyses and reports. You will also coordinate junior team members and contribute to client interactions and deliverable preparation.

Be a part of our team where you will:

  • Lead day-to-day execution of buy-side and sell-side financial due diligence engagements across multiple sectors, with a strong focus on Luxembourg and cross-border transactions;
  • Analyse historical and forecast financial performance, including quality of earnings, revenue analysis, margin drivers, net working capital, net debt and cash flow sustainability;
  • Perform detailed data analytics and financial reconciliations using large datasets extracted from client systems and data rooms;
  • Identify key transaction risks, accounting considerations and potential deal adjustments, and articulate their impact on valuation and SPA mechanisms;
  • Prepare clear and concise due diligence reports, executive summaries, dashboards and client presentations highlighting findings and actionable insights;
  • Coordinate information requests, manage interactions with management teams and maintain structured communication with other advisors (Tax, Legal, Regulatory, IT, HR, etc.);
  • Support discussions on deal structuring topics such as NWC targets, net debt definitions, earn-out mechanisms and SPA financial clauses;
  • Coach and review work performed by Associates and Interns, ensuring quality, consistency and timely delivery;
  • Contribute to proposal preparation, credentials, market research and internal knowledge sharing initiatives within the Deals practice.

Let’s talk about you. If you …

  • Have 3–5+ years of experience in Transaction Services / Financial Due Diligence, Audit with strong deal exposure, or Corporate Finance;
  • Possess a strong understanding of financial accounting (IFRS, LUX GAAP) and the key drivers of financial performance;
  • Demonstrate advanced analytical skills with the ability to translate complex financial information into clear, practical deal insights;
  • Are comfortable interacting with client management teams and presenting findings to senior stakeholders;
  • Show strong organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple deadlines in fast-paced deal environments;
  • Are highly proficient in Excel and PowerPoint; experience with data analytics tools (e.g., Alteryx, Power BI, Tableau) is a strong asset;
  • Are fluent in English, with French, Luxembourgish and/or German considered strong advantages; any additional language relevant to the Luxembourg market is a plus;
  • Hold a degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field; professional qualifications (e.g., ACA/ACCA/CPA, CFA) are highly valued.
