S-Lab for Advanced Intelligence, established in 2020, is a university laboratory at NTU focusing on research and development of cutting-edge AI technologies in computer vision, natural language processing, reinforcement learning, deep learning, and distributed computing. As the Senior Assistant Manager, Business Operations Management the job holder will play a critical role in coordinating and administering all aspects of the centre’s operations, including human resources, financial operations, utilisation of funding and lab administration. Reporting to the Associate Director, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient allocation of resources, compliance with regulations, and support for research activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and strategise grant management and utilisation. Track grant spending, milestones, and reporting deadlines.
Be involved and oversee lab's budget, and expense management. Managing budget allocation which includes monitoring budget review and reporting for S-Lab’s external funded and cost.
Work closely with PIs and HR department in coordinating all HR activities.
Responsible in generating insightful reports to Management and PI on overall S-Lab performance which includes grant utilisation, staffing, expenses, procurement and facilities.
Ensure compliance with Grantor and NTU policies and regulations.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree from any discipline, preferably degree in human resources, finance, business administration, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management and understanding of HR and finance management is a plus.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
