The Student and Academic Services Department (SASD) is a dedicated team committed to delivering comprehensive support across the entire student life cycle – from admission and matriculation to graduation and beyond the classroom. SASD works collaboratively with schools, colleges, and autonomous institutes to ensure a seamless and enriching academic journey for all students.
This position sits with the Office of Information, Knowledge and Library Services (OIKLS). Reporting to the University Librarian, this role is about helping shape the future of how students and faculty learn and teach at NTU. The successful candidate will provide leadership for NTU Library’s digital learning strategy and digital literacy framework. He/she will drive innovation, alignment with university priorities, and cross-campus collaboration to ensure impactful, technology-enabled learning experiences for our students.
Job Responsibilities
Formulate and advance digital learning strategies that anticipate trends, align with institutional goals, and support innovative instructional services.
Lead the development, integration, and ongoing enhancement of digital learning initiatives, technologies, and pedagogical approaches across library and academic programs.
Champion the design, delivery, and integration of digital and AI literacy programs and resources, empowering staff and students and embedding competencies throughout academic and co-curricular activities.
Foster collaboration and staff development through co-creation of digital literacy resources and initiatives that build organizational capacity.
Oversee the assessment and continuous improvement of digital learning services and frameworks to ensure relevance, effectiveness, and alignment with the needs of the NTU community.
Supervise one staff member, providing guidance, coaching, and performance feedback.
Job Requirements
Degree/ Post-Graduate Diploma/ Master’s degree in library and information science
At least 10 years of working experience in libraries and/or related functions
Familiarity with educational learning theories, instructional design methods & assessment techniques.
Experience in designing and facilitating instruction (face-to-face and online) and presenting to large and small groups.
Knowledge of digital literacy and digital learning frameworks, competencies, and proficiency.
Familiarity with digital learning systems and platforms, reference management software such as EndNote, Zotero and Mendeley & learning management systems, e.g., Blackboard, LAMS, etc.
Able to work independently and collaboratively.
Passion for learning and teaching in an academic setting.
